The whole world got hyped about one of the latest North Korean ICBM test launches in May. This time it was all about the crash site.

On May, 14th DPRK had launched so called Hwasong-12 ICBM. It surely was tagged as yet another hostile step of Pyongyang towards «civilized world». But while the launch itself is more or less a clear thing, its crash is apparently not. There’s been quite a few clashes on the web.

US was the fastest one to react. In no time it was stated that the missile crashed within EEZ of Russia 97km from Vladivostok. Considering influence of US media it got spread all over the world in a blink of an eye. Previous incident of that kind took place back in 2006 when DRPK missile crashed 250km from Vladivostok. Most of North Korean missiles crashed in Japan controlled area.

The White House’s bizarrely worded statement in the aftermath of the launch noted, the Hwasong-12 splashed down “closer to Russia than to Japan.” The statement continued that U.S. President Donald J. Trump “cannot imagine that Russia is pleased” by this development.

Experts esteem that the US tried to hint Russians that it’s a close call against its NK diplomacy, as missiles are now falling down closer to the shores of mother Russia. Supposedly it was also aimed at persuading Russians to support sanctions against DRPK.

On the other hand there was Russian reaction which went public quite some time after so it didn’t get such a coverage. Needless to say it suggested another way things happened. Due to Russian Defense Ministry officials ICBM crashed 260km from Vladivostok and not 97.

Japanese view of things supported it saying that Hwasong-12 crashed within of Japan 450km away from Okusiri island not far from Hokkaido.

South Korea is also stating that ICBM in question crashed quite afar from the shores of Russia yet within its 200-mile EEZ.

And finally North Korea itself has published absolutely opposite report. Media share a photo of Kim Jong-Un next to supposed Hwasong-12 trajectory. As described this shot depicts that ICBM crashed 150km from Russian landline and 260km from Vladivostok. It goes in contrary to both Russian and US versions of how things gone yet proves that crash site is within EEZ of Russia.

How come that US report isn’t supported by any other nations involved considering superior satellite technologies? Looks like it was nothing more but a bluff - it’s not a secret that Trump loves being loud. One thing is certain - North Korean ICBMs are way too weak if compared to Russian Anti-Air Defense, aren't they?
