So, you tested positive for antibodies for approximately 20 months after getting covid. Generally, from what researchers now know antibodies last on average from 9 to 12 months and they really don’t have a succinct answer as to what level of antibodies are necessary to protect from severe disease because everybody is different. It sounds to me like you likely had asymptomatic covid at some point again after 2020, maybe even more than once.

It is absolutely ridiculous that your son was forced to get vaccinated so soon after being infected unless he couldn’t produce a positive PCR. That makes no sense. But really, is it worth losing your job over? Doesn’t the army make people do lots of things?

I have no idea why you are conflating vaccines with control and political donations. It was more about of dealing with a novel virus that kept mutating and not knowing how it was going to behave and making sure they kept the vulnerable population safe any way they could. It’s better to do too much, than too little. Hindsight is 2020.

Big pharma has no liability and is making TONS of money from covid.

My now ex wife and 2 of my sons had the jab and they all got covid again after the shots. What good is the shot? My middle son and myself have not had the shot and haven't missed a day of work since 2020. So what if it's anecdotal. It's my life.

A government should protect the public in a pandemic situation. How would you actually stop people from ‘carelessly’ spreading covid? It’s a virus that is transmitted prior to the appearance of symptoms. It’s a virus that occurs asymptomatically in some. It’s a virus that was extremely contagious.

So you had ANTIBODIES. You seemed to have them for ages, so like I said in another post maybe you were reinfected. You have no idea if your level of antibodies were actually effective at protecting you. If you were infected in 2020 with one variant that doesn’t necessarily mean you were immune to the next variants. You could have been infected without knowing it and given it to somebody else. You really can’t be sure that you didn’t.

Under your constitution how does the government promote the general welfare of the public? When they try to in any way they can people get angry and think about themselves and not the collective whole. The vaccines were a measure to stop severe illness and the health care system becoming overwhelmed. There were a heck of a lot of people isolating in their homes but there were also thousands in ICU’s that lacked enough ventilators, proper protection for the staff. With the vaccines, the number of people in hospitals was vastly reduced.

Your government is in the business of mandating vaccines.

The US has had vaccine mandates for children entering school since the late 1970’s. It is absolutely in the public’s interest to be protected against polio, diphtheria, tetanus, measles, and so forth.

As of 2020, mandatory vaccinations for North American military personnel included hepatitis B, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), tdap (tetanus, diptheria, and pertussis), polio, meningococcal, and influenza.

You don’t seem to understand the purpose of the vaccinations. They are to prevent severe illness and death in the vulnerable and they do that.

    https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/991698

A cohort study of more than 1.5 million hospital admissions in Canada through the first 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic has quantified the benefit of vaccinations. Unvaccinated patients were found to be up to 15 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than fully vaccinated patients.

It is astounding that people still don’t understand the purpose and value of the vaccinations.

Considering the only people in my family getting covid again are the vaccinated, what is the vaccine protecting me from?

I look out for others. My 90 year old in laws were living with us and my sister in law through covid. We managed to keep them safe. They have since died from alzheimers and heart issues. My parents still haven't had covid and we have gone through great pains to keep them protected as they wish. The government can only offer us options. We are responsible for ourselves, at least in the America I grew up in.

If you want to take the vaccination, take the vaccination. I helped pay for it. I also donated blood for antibody therapy and research. You do you and let me do me.

auiqs.jpg.gif It's you that doesn't understand that the pseudoscience injections are causing illness and death to not only the vulnerable but the once-healthy.

Oh dear. More disinformation. Will it never end?

The only people spruiking mis/disinformation are the ones claiming that covid pseudoscience injections are safe and effective and will give 100% protection without any harmful or debilitating consequences. The same people also believe covid exists. Why? Why do Boris Johnson and Obama have social gatherings disregarding all mandates such as curfews, lockdowns, social distancing, and masking up during 2020, do they know something is fake?

You still may get covid, but it's typically milder. Here's something that might interest you...

I think if you read my above info, you'll see vaccines provide some protection against getting covid in addition to protection against severe disease.

I don't believe you understand why your evidence isn't proof covid doesn't exist. It might be evidence, however, there are false positives.

There's little indication the vaccine side-effects include cancer.

That ship sailed a ways back. They've redefined "vaccine" to include the mRNA vaccines.
Two people aren't much proof of much.

How does this address the issue of whether or not covid is real?

Well if you don't want insults or not to respond to questions or statements you deem uncalled for, don't do it yourself. Treat others how you'd like to be treated. Ever thought of that?

    Consider...

    IMG_2180.jpeg
The vaccines aren't a preventative, but they do help, especially for older people.

I do know she was perfectly fine before she took it. I know that for 100% fact.

There is more evidence that it may have been involved then there is evidence that it was not involved.

I first caught it in February 2020, no vaccines, no tests, nobody who really knew much about it.
I almost died. My O2 saturation hit the low Seventies for two weeks.
Fully vaxxed and boosted the moment it became available. In fact I just received my updated bivalent booster two weeks ago.
I did catch the damn thing again in August 2022 but thanks to the vax and boosters and immediate administration of PAXLOVID (a damn miracle drug) I ended up with three days of the sniffles.
And I am COPD, fatty liver disease and Type 2 diabetic, so if I had caught it again unprotected I'd be deader than fried chicken.

Screw the antivaxxers, they can go lick a doorknob to show how tough they are.

My wife's ex is one of those unicorns.
He has been exposed hundreds of times, and two people in close quarters with him almost died, but thankfully recovered.
And yet he has never gotten sick from COVID despite three separate positive test events.
Scientists want to study people like him but he is too busy saying it's a hoax, so of course he won't cooperate.

From the vaccines and from covid.
Because the vast majority of people were vaccinated. However, many didn't keep up their vaccinations and were largely unprotected given what we know about waning protection, the drop off booster doses taken, and the nature of Omicron variants.
The evidence is quite strong it protects older people against hospitalization and long covid.

Hamlin's heart issue was commotio cordis and had nothing to do with covid.
