    Ok

How many women do that? 5 per year world wide? 10? 20?

How stupid do you think women are - on second thoughts do not answer that

Who in their right mind would choose inconvenience and increased when other options are available?

    Who is ‘killing babies”?

And what do you classify as a “baby”?

Finally are you prepared to fund the extra children dumped into the system a reasonable proportion of which will have FASD or other drug induced disabilities

Or better yet an even smaller amount on free reliable, reversible contraception

That 12 year old in QLD? They “rushed” that case through court but she was still further along than was optimal

Still, better than the 11 year old in Argentina who was pregnant by the grandmothers boyfriend but was hospitalised and lied to until her health deteriorated and she had to have an emergency c section and the baby died anyway as it was too young to survive

1: No woman has unprotected sex just so they can get abortions. That is an idiotic statement through and through.

2: No Federal tax dollars are paying for "recreational abortions". The Hyde Amendment does not allow for such. If State tax dollars are going towards it then call up your state reps and complain about it to them.

Because its a compromise. If you want folks to have access to abortion
then wouldn't you prefer a proposal like that than to have some states
doing everything in their power to outright ban abortion instead,
whether be it through laws passed or via other means?

Also, I'm not really sure what makes you think abortion would be a wealthy-only luxury under that proposal... After all, abortions really aren't all that expensive, relatively speaking. About $350 on the low end to around $950 if you get it done at a hospital. At those costs its actually more affordable then many forms of contraceptive (not accounting for the physical costs of course). Regardless though, its certainly more affordable for poor people when its legal than it would be were it to be outlawed. If outlawed, only those who could spare the money to travel long distances would be able to get it. So perhaps its a good idea to ensure states aren't able to skirt rules in an effort to limit the locations.

But anyways... was that your only issue with the proposal? What's your opinion on the rest of it?
Do you agree with the 24 week gestational cutoff point, exceptions for life/health of the mother,
increased availability of contraceptives, etc. etc.?...

the proposal suggests that everyone must pay for their own abortion, no tax dollars used... how is it not discriminatory against the poor & those that live off government assistance programs...

i have no issue over any term abortion, it's their choice not mine. i view it as darwin at work...

again, it's better for taxpayers to cough up a few bucks for the abortion, rather than a lifetime of government assistance (housing, medical, food, utilities, cell phones)...

C'mon folks... it doesn't really matter what percentage of abortions fall into those categories...
Or at least it shouldn't... as the implications are the same either way.
What we need to do imo is decide on whether or not there ought to be exceptions for those cases.

    Yes or no?

The consensus seems to be that there should be exceptions in those cases,
at least when speaking about life/health of the mother, rape, incest, or fetal abnormality...

So how would you get folks who don't want to pay for other peoples abortions to go along with that?

Yes they do, some women fetishize abortion and no persons money should indulge their sick pleasure. I don’t care if it is a state tax or federal tax

Of course you are. No one would expect less from you. And your sentiment is shared by many. All you need now is a suitable target for your hatred.

    :applause::applause::applause:

Especially those whiners who can never prove their taxes were used for abortions....just like to whine about it.

And you are correct, those who scream the loudest about "baby killers" are those who want to deprive those "precious lives" once they're born.

Forcing rape victims to have their rapists baby is like raping the victim a second time - Abortion is the choice of the potential mother, the government should stay out of it

if we want to reduce abortions, put plan b in every rape kit, let the victim decide to take it or not

if we want to reduce abortions, make long term birth control easier to obtain for the poor

WTF does that have to do with the post you quoted?

    Uh, why make exceptions?

Isn't the whole Anti-Chpoice argument that abortion kills a precious innocent life?

Why isn't the fetus of a rapist any less "precious" or innocent ?

The procedure and outcome of an abortion is EXACTLY THE SAME whether the pregnancy is due to consensual sex or rape...

VERY hypocritical to say one is OK but the other isn't...

Gosh, that looks like punishing women who had consensual sex.....

In your first fricking statement you use "rape" as a need for abortion and I clearly pointed out that 99% of ALL abortions have nothing to do with rape.

    Try to keep up!

What gives you the right to pretend a baby defacto exists in the early stages of pregnancy - and then make law on the basis of this falsehood

What is a recreational abortion? Is that like, I’m so bored I think I’ll go relax with a little abortion.

Do they have recreation centers where young women can get an abortion in one room and then go to another to play basketball, to get back in shape to get pregnant again so they can come back for another fun filled abortion.
