I don't think Conservatives or Progressives correctly understand economics

    But I'm sure entrenched poverty is equally debilitating and demoralising in Germany or the EU or the US.

    So obviously there is more to poverty eradication than a "reasonable" tax system. Besides, do you notice how European sports and film stars who are able to earn a fortune, always seek to protect their $multi hundred millions via tax havens? Hm...

    And why do gerrrymanders arise? (not only in the US...)

    ie exactly who wants to be "politically favoured" ? (Hint: I've already given you a clue, and it's nothing to do with "excuses").

    And btw, didn't Obama have control of the House and the Senate for a period? Was he asleep at the wheel?..
