Government spending demonstrably increases economic activity, and is one of the main driving factors in pulling the economy out of a recession.

so you were mistaken then when you said liberals were responsible for the great recession. Thank you for admitting that.

The last 7 or 8 posts you've made in reply to mine.

Mainly, that government spending doesn't increase economic activity.

govt must tax to spend so no net gain is possible. 1+1=2. See why we say liberalism is based in pure ignorance? Is any other conclusion possible?

yes govt spending increases activity therefore govt taxing must decrease it so no net gain is possible. Got it now?

Did you know that to spend money govt must tax money?
Did you know that a govt bubble must burst and cause another recession?

they were in effect liberals which perfectly explains why they kept 132 liberal programs to get people into houses that the free free market said they could not afford. Too complicated for you?

The type of government spending matters though. Imagine, for example, how more effective demand management would be if the US wasn't so obsessed with military waste?

and of course govt taxing then must demonstrably decrease economic activity!! 1+1=2 Now you can see how FDR kept the Depression going for 16 years, compiled the worst economic record in American History, and became the greatest hero to insane liberals.

Let's review the basics relating to this tax cut....

Here are the facts that the right has adamantly asserted for a long time, and actually the left is not in disagreement:
    1) Unemployment is currently low. The BLS reports it at 4.1% for November. Others have reported it lower.
    2) Productivity is at record highs.
    3) Corporate profits are at record highs.
    4) The top 1% have a greater share of income and wealth than at any other time in nearly a century.
    5) We have a huge national debt, amounting to a large % of the GDP.
    6) The right has been yelling, screaming, threatening, warning about the national debt for over a decade.
    7) Federal tax revenue is at an all-time high.

So why, righties, are we handing out tax cuts, mostly to the rich instead of using that revenue to pay down the national debt? The reason given is "to boost the economy" which doesn't seem to need boosting. The bottom half of the country needs a boost, but the right says they get what they deserve; if they're lazy or too dumb to provide for themselves, to hell with them. So that's not a justification for the tax cut. So where's the need, O ye defenders of the tax cut? Why have you suddenly abandoned your outrage over the need to pay down the debt? This is not adding up.

of course if true you would be able to say why it is ignorant. Notice, a liberal won't know that having a reason is necessary.

    1) wages have been flat for 30 years
    2) work force participation is about 5 million low
    3) 60 million commit suicide each year in part because liberals shipped their jobs to China.

You just proved your total ignorance of economics and history. FDR became president in 1933, at the very lowest point of the Depression. The Depression was over by 1940, just seven years later. FDR presided over the greatest economic expansion in American history. That is just a fact. Your ignorance is proved for all time.
