It was a steady and solid growth out of the worst economic crisis since the 1930. It built foundations and not the boom and bust.
Today we benefit from it, greatly

It was 1.5 to 2% a year the new normal as we were constantly told by the likes of MSNBC and CNN among others, When Trump talked about three percent they all said he was crazy.

We had 3.2% GDP last quarter, and that is with Trump's trade negotiations bouncing the numbers all over the place.

We've only had eight full quarters since Trump became president and the tax cuts and reductions in regulatory over burden have only been in place for four of those.

"So we're at 3.3 percent GDP. I see no reason why we don't go to 4 percent, 5 percent, and even 6 percent."

LOL! Promises of riches for all are the hallmarks of a conman. Of course, we are nowhere near 4, 5, or 6%, even with the unpaid-for tax cuts put on the national credit card.

And until the situation with China is resolved we likely won't be. But that has to be done and the sooner the better.

I don't get it either. Even people like Chuck Schumer, who hates Trump, can see how dangerous it is to our nations future to keep allowing China to continue stealing our intellectual property, hacking our computer systems, selling counterfeits of US products all across the world, and dumping products to tank the market and harm legitimate businesses.

People like the OP are no better than those who would root for bank robbers to keep stealing our money, and getting upset at Trump for trying to use law enforcement to stop the robbers.

Agreed, we need to stand firm. We could roll over on our backs like Clinton, Bush and Obama did, and just hit the "easy button," and let our children pay the price for our inaction, twenty or thirty years down the road when China dominates every industry.

You are an American and you want a foreign power to try to cripple us as a nation economically in order for you to reach some domestic political outcome?

Wrong. It is the working class that put Trump in the Oval Office and Trump has found Obama’s magic wand and brought back all those jobs and wages that were supposed to be gone forever. Also wrong about democrats. They are the party of the rich. The first thing they tried to do when they stole the house back was to repeal nationwide caps on mortgage interest and SALT’s that only the rich pay.

The local Chinese businessmen I talk to did not vote for Trump yet applaud him for his excellent handling of the presidency. They are not loyal to China as far too many Democrats are.

The millions mean nothing and those few thousand mean everything. Read up on the electoral college. Winning Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin’s electoral votes by one vote in each state is more important than winning Californication’s votes by four million. I openly mock my fellow Californians who whine about wicked witch Hillary winning our state by all those votes. The part of Ca. that I live in voted almost 2-1for Trump over her.

Do you actually know anything at all about tariffs?
The Americans who buy the imports are the ones who pay the tariffs.

Trump is not using this so called trickle down. He is making use of the velocity of money concept. And it works every time it is put into action. This is why the Feds are raking in record setting revenues.
