I like Trump, but I hope he doesn't run again.

I have been a very strong supporter of Trump from the beginning. I like what he has done for our economy. How he turned it around from the disaster Obama took it. Up to the virus hitting us, had one of the hottest economies on the planet.

I like how he has handled the war against ISIS. How he was hard on NATO, the UN, Russia, China and our trading partners. I liked how he finally fixed the VA when no one else could. How he has given prisoners a new chance in life. Allowed terminally ill patients the chance to use new drugs not yet approved by the FDA, to try and save their life, or at least give them a chance to live longer. I like how he gave financial help to single mothers in child care and started new job training programs for those will little to no skill, to help them get better jobs. I like how he gave Kodak a big loan to produce chemicals here in America, used in some of our most vital medicines, after China threatened to cut them off if Trump didn't give into their trading demands. Yes I liked most of what he did.

But Trump has become to much of a problem to run again. The Left would spend his entire term trying to impeach him again. To fight against everything he would try and do. Trump is also to much in love with himself. He feels he can do no wrong, he is always right. He can say anything, even when he knows it's wrong and it's ok. He trashes anyone who disagrees with him. Trump talks why to much and sounds more like a sixth grader when he does. Repeats himself a lot. He bullies people. He can be tough, without being a bully. I would rather see someone else running in the next election, but be a big consultant to him/her on how to steer this country on the course he took it.

 

We need a charismatic republican with Trump's ideas to run. That would be good for the country. While I only see several senators that fit that bill I also see several state governors who do.

Do you think the left is going to treat any Republican candidate different? They didn’t treat trump the way they did because of how trump acted. They treated trump the way they did because he beat them. Any Republican with any shot of beating them (and even worse if they actually win) will be treated in the EXACT same fashion. They’ll call him a racist and assert that he’s a criminal, attempt faux impeachment’s and find some simp of a woman to say he sexually assaulted her back in 1962. They will spend every waking moment attempting to derail any and everything he does and attempt to have him removed from office.

The difference is trump has shown the backbone to continue to stand up against them. Are you confident that facing that full frontal barrage any other candidate/president wouldn’t fold to their demands and cries of racist under the guise of bipartisanship?

I’m sure as hell not.

 

See the left has convinced you they acted that way because of who trump is or how he acts. But they don’t. They act that way because they’re evil bastards who will do ANYTHING to consolidate power. And they don’t give a damn what they have to do or whom they have to destroy to get it.

Well we know it’s not going to stop if we just don’t run Trump. Look at what they did to Kavanaugh and Gorsuch. Those dudes were like two of the most squeaky clean nerds I’ve ever seen and look at what the democrats did to them.

It doesn’t matter who the republicans run, they will be treated in the exact same fashion as trump was.

 

Agree. He is a terrible human being, really the worst. Absolutely vile. But he presided over the best economy of my lifetime and I want that back. The left will always try to impeach whoever is elected that doesn't do their bidding. We, in this country, have a problem with our government being infiltrated by left wing commies and corruption on the left and right. It really doesn't matter who gets elected other than Trump because they will be bought off.

Face facts here: our entire government needs to be gutted and over hauled. Until the people decide that is what they want then we will continue to decline. Until our society decides to reject left wing ideology and that corruption of any kind is not tolerable then our society will get the government it deserves. One person cannot fix any of this.

Democrats pulled off an election scam once and have 4 years to tweak their boo boos... Just my two cents worth...My knowledge of software driven machinery and systems is extensive and I can tell you the Dominion machines and system need to be removed from the equation. The states may have separate election procedures but 28 states come back to the common denominator ... Dominion system..

Trump was a fascinating enigma. I agree that he is a statist authoritarian (which frankly makes him no different than most politicians) who was drunk on power... while the current occupant of the White appears to simply just be drunk. And its cackling affirmative action hire sidekick, obviously still doing those bong hits it laughed about on BET. But as I said above, despite Trump's many flaws as a human, he did preside over the best economy of my lifetime. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I think he had a longer-term plan that would have made him the best economic leader we had ever seen, but he could not get out of his own way, being such a thin-skinned megalomaniac.

Though he was a Donk for most of his adult life, no modern Democrat would go after the P.R.C., NATO, the European socialists, illegal border-crossers, et al, the way Trump did. I mean his predecessor never met a dictator it didn't want to kneel to... The Chinese even made Obama exit AF1 from the back. And it complied! Massive loss of face. MASSIVE. Trump would have phoned the cockpit and said "let's get out of here... I'm not taking the damn back stairs."

The bump stock thing was irritating, but the Donks even want my single-shot .22 bolt... I think there was probably some strategy there that was never fully revealed. And the 2A is safe with THREE originalists Trump successfully installed on the Court.

Trump's biggest flaw in the political arena.... he does not play their childish games... his biggest mistake was not cleaning house the first few days of his presidency... the deep state was deeper than he thought.... his picks for any position to replace them were just as corrupt and lawless as the one he was replacing..

I think you are right. We're not dealing with the reaction to one man- but with the degraded mentality and character of those who attack not only Trump but the basic elements of justice and freedom. That's not going to go away- because they got a lot of mileage out of that so far..... and they have nothing better, no real platform that would benefit the people of America. Hanging trash has worked better than trying to look competent, so they will continue to hang trash. It's the pursuit of power to feed extreme insecurities... weakness of character that creates a fear, and needs external confirmation (power) to support the denial of it.

 

I hate to say this -- because I am a huge supporter of third, fourth, and fifth parties -- but the duopoly is too deeply-entrenched to ever be displaced at this point. It is both the player and the referee, and the people (most of them) just love the idea of not having to think too hard and just pulling the lever for the capital letter after the name.

Who's life would you like to see turned upside down and destroyed by the Democrats... Whomever it is must be squeaky clean... and I'm not even sure that is enough... There will be no Republican candid that has an unsecure unauthorized server with the highest classified and SAP information, chinese spy's driving their limo's, running a crime family with knowledge of shady deals with foreign countries, sleeping with Chinese spies, lying about taxes misinformation and then turning around and saying "Well we won didn't we, ... I could fill a couple of pages, but you get my point.

 

The political elites from both sides of the aisle will again fight hard against Trump. Question is: Do you want the swamp (political elites) to win or do you want Americans (Trump) to win?
