My son is deploying soon to a place where pollution is thick and the Carona Virus is spreading. The mask will primarily be for pollution, but a dual purpose mask would be a good thing. I'm looking at masks with exhale valves and interchangeable filters. What material is best for the mask for comfort, cleaning, and longevity. (nylon, cotton, etc.....) The mask will have to be black in color to wear with his uniform. The availability and affordability of filters is a consideration. Spare replacement valves would be good. I understand that P95 and P99 describes the percentage of pollution that the mask will filter out. P2 is the European equivalent standard. Is this what I should be looking for? Will these also be effective against visuses? If you have links and suggestions, I would appreciate them. TIA.

We go with the P2, here in the land of perpetual fires.

Unfortunately they don't come in black, and they're expensive.

Also, there's a worldwide shortage. Can be difficult to get.
