Read an article not long ago that said a lot of lawyers are getting botox regularly just so people could not see their facial reactions to testimony and verdicts.
Well, that is certainly a consideration he should take into account, when contemplating the seeking of parole. I would expect that he would be inclined to take his chances. My only point is that the criminal justice system should make sure that HE does not pose a threat to peaceful society upon his release. A vengeful society may well pose a threat to him.
Well, I just watched the parole hearing--from what I gleamed from the "victim" himself testifying before the panel---it was not OJ that committed any violence--So,your premise of OJ & his violent tendencies are just your assumptions---- And unless the verdict has changed,OJ was acquitted of murdering Nicole & Ron--So,again,your are just assuming---- Do I wish the trial for their murder was handled better so we all could have a clear picture of what actually happened that night. I think the investigation was wholly incomplete, evidence compromised, too much pomp & circumstance, evidence planted, crime scene not secured properly, evidence they had not wholly investigated or brought into evidence-----
Dude did his time.... More than equitable for the conviction IMO... Now, let's see how long he makes it out, before committing Potato, or getting a cap in his ass
You are everything wrong with the right wing. You claim to love the law, but want vigilantly Justice. Cry more.
I watched his trial in 1995? I was stunned he was not found guilty. I saw the evidence. There is no way all that evidence was pointing to other killers or killer. OJ was the sole person who would wish his wife dead. The kid who got killed with her happened to be there. I think for her safety he had walked with her. That failed to work. As to the Robbery, that did not get a person injured or killed. The claim is it amounts to kidnap. So for that reason, why did the Judge not set a longer minimum sentence? But part of me says OJ deserved prison. I saw him being cocky to the parole board. But they set him free on October 1.
This proves to me, over and over, how flawed is the Jury system. A finding of not guilty does not mean he is not guilty. But the law will not jail him unless found guilty. Some believe the Casey woman killed her baby. Sure she is free, but is she free of public opinion. I saw so much of the OJ trial I was in disbelief the Jury ruled not guilty.
No racism by me. I found the deaths of those both close to OJ and one to his former wife to be worth OJ serving life in prison.
Blacks convict other blacks everyday. What they can't convict is a black celebrity. He'll do something stupid and land his ass back in jail.
I'm not hoping someone kills him. But if someone were to do it, I wouldn't agonize over it. It wouldn't be one of my top concerns on my deathbed.
Sorry, I watched the parole hearing today also-I did not see OJ being cocky, don't know what your definition of cocky is, but I think if the parole board saw that behavior they would not have granted the parole in MO--- So,I also watched every day of the trial in 1995--- I went back & forth on whether OJ was guilty or not---when evidence was presented, I said guilty, when defense gave their evidence, I said not guilty---it was quite a trial-- I thought too much pomp & circumstance,I thought too much race card----more time needed to be taken on evidence that nobody pursued, because they "thought" they had the murderer. One thing for certain, it was not an open & shut case & my perception of the trial was, they treated ( by they,I mean Clark & her team) it like it was an open & shut case & didn't tie up loose ends-evidence was compromised, crime scene was compromised, evidence of plants were very well presented or at least presented well enough to cast doubt---- So, like the Jon Benet Ramsey case I do hope someday there is complete closure---Inquiring minds want to know---
OJ is not currently in jail for any of that. He is currently in jail for armed robbery and kidnapping. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/10/04/oj.simpson.verdict/
I suppose there is the slight chance that OJ did not kill Ron and Nicole, but if I had to guess, I would say guilty. That entire trial was nothing but a circus really. A media circus.
Well, the problem is that the prosecution couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that OJ was guilty. OJs defense team did a good job drumming up reasonable doubt. If OJ had been anything but a rich black man, he'd probably be in prison for murder right now.
