That Dems are riding a demographic wave is just a fact. That they good surfers is completely another topic.

Lowering the voting age to 16 would make the surfing easier.

I'm an Indie ... but it's still a binary choice, and that's just the sad reality. Forget 3rd party ... let the DNC & GOP run their top 3 nominees. Both parties have some pretty distinct factions. Equally distribute party funds to compliment individual fundraising and let the voters do the rest.

What's interesting about all of that is the inherent contempt that the Left's leadership has for the average citizen in that they figure thinking people can't possibly figure out what they are up to when they are actually doing these things right in front of the entire nation.

BS on all points! And totally ridiculous BS at that!

    I mean seriously!

Donald Trump just proposed a budget that makes huge CUT to Medicare!

And, not only did the RNC want to support pre existing condition protection in the first place!

He's proposed reform to Medicare, because it's unsubstainable in it's current form.

They did want to protect it in the first place. They continue to

Do you even know how many times in US History a President who didn't win the popular vote was elected to office?

Every citizen should be aware of the left's desire to erase the will and concerns of vast sections of the country when it comes to the electing who should be President of the United States.

    So?

My food, and yours, comes mainly from truly enormous tracts owned by Cargill and Archer Daniels Midland among others. Boutique farms have been providing more in recent years but itś still really very little. Family farms have been dead since the 80ś. What are you suggesting anyway, that the farmers will all stop selling their produce to the ¨City Folk" if we don¨t let them choose the President?

I think itś been 5. So?.

The vast sections of the country youŕe referring to are just that, vast EMPTY spaces. Last I checked the citizens of the USA, the voters, were all PEOPLE, not a hill or forest among them, no cows either.

I would suggest you check again. There are actually human beings living all throughout the middle of the country.

They live in the areas in Red.

Not sure why the left feels its a good strategy to tell all those people living in the Red Areas they don't count.

    No, they clearly do not.

A "proposal" to reform Medicare is fiction. There is no such thing.

Won't it be funny to see the Democrat Party Platform 2020 that says, "we are against low unemployment and higher wages for blacks, Hispanics and women!

In all fairness if the Democrats continue with their quest to extend voting rights then cows are probably next on the list to obtain them.

Talking about it is not doing it.

There is no proposal. These are talking points.

And if you bothered to read your own article, the cuts to services, and how the health care industry would react to this will have a considerable detrimental effect on patients. And there is at least one item on that list that probably isn't legal at all (not that that ever bothered Trump).

    There is no legislation.

There was no legislation for years, while the GOP had control of both houses of Congress.

This is all the usual Wall Street right wing smoke. It's about as "real" as the GOP plan to replace Obamacare.....

Oh wait! We never saw a concrete proposal or piece of legislation on that either.

    It's not just talking....the President's budget proposal...is just just a propsal

The proposal does not cut money to benefitaries.....yes there would be change in the healthcaer industry, which is necessary for reform....healthcare cost is a massive expense in the United States, and medicare is one of the largest drivers of our national debt.

What does Wall Street have to do with medicare reform? Not sure where that caem from. I agree it is as real as the GOP's plan to replace Obamacare. Unfortuately, just like that the GOP will be stonewalled by the left who is fine running the unsubtainable programs, that drive up debt, and is on track to fail...why? For current votes and poltitics.

    Yes it does.

Why does the left want to erase all the people living outside the East and West Coasts?

Why do you want to erase the GREATER NUMBER OF people living on the Coasts, along with everyone who agreed with them living in ¨your¨ area?

Bush the younger was elected just this way, not more than 20 years before. His Administration was not without rancor but most of it was not on this issue. The pubs attitude back then was ¨letś work together¨ not ¨**** you , we won¨

Because the predominant demographic hasn't succumbed to progressive indoctrination, and they simply aren't dying off fast enough. Impetuous, impulsive, tax & spend, progressive instant gratifacation junkies aren't getting any younger. It's ironic that gov't subsidized health care is largely responsible for their longevity. Conservative seniors are as relible in turning out to vote, as they are in cashing their Social Security checks. Socialism isn't ALL bad. :;):

I'm not the one arguing to erase the ability of 10's of millions of US Citizens living outside the East and West Coasts to play a roll in selecting the President of the United States.

The Proglibs attitude today is bend to our will, or else. Who is chasing people out of restaurants, banning free speech, pounding on the front doors of peoples homes?

The EC insures every citizen, no matter how rural a region they live in, has some influence in who is elected to the President of the United States. It's the only federal office where such a procedure and process is used.

The Tyranny of the Majority is a real thing, and our Founding Fathers were once again brilliant in their foresight to protect the Nation from it all those years ago.
