I have said numerous times on this forum that I am first and foremost a literary scholar. My jurisprudence paper in law school was about the Bible and its application in a court. There is no way in heaven or hell that you can possible understand the book better than I do. Please make effort to understand its teachings before you try to sermonize to me.

This gun thing has gone beyond a fetish. I love guns too. I grew up with guns. I have guns. But what we seem to be seeing now are highly insecure men and women who feel threatened by pretty much everything, and who feel the need to tell everyone how powerful they are because they can kill lots of people.

I told a gun nut friend about my argument that the 2nd Amendment only ensures the right to bear arms; not the right to own arms. The 2nd Amendment would be satisfied if all guns had to be issued by the government. His next comment was that talk like that will get me killed.

Except "women" don't vote Republican by and large. Black women of any age don't, Hispanic women of any age don't, young white women don't. Only old white women vote Republican in significant numbers.
