Kavanaugh is fait accompli. The irony of all the leftist rancor and ruckus is it will change nothing, except to further isolate the left in the minds of horrified independents and moderates who are witnessing this madness from democrats.

I don't get how he can be gung ho to impeach Clinton, yet champion the Imperial Presidency working for W. But basically he's your big business Republican who will not accept any regulation on the power of the 1% to install the govt they want and to pay workers whatever they feel like paying.

THE CRAZY ONES: Michael Barone: Democrats’ visions of hand signals from white supremacists.

The meaning of this gesture was not lost on certain alert viewers. “Who is she? What’s up with the white power sign?” tweeted one Keith R. Dumas. Further enlightened tweets streamed in. From TV actor Kelly Mantle: “This neo-nazi is Zina Bash. She’s intentionally throwin [sic] up White Power signs at a Supreme Court Justice hearing. On national TV. She works for Kavanaugh & is also one of the writers for Trump’s immigration policy. This is their new Amerikkka.”

Author Jamie Ford: “Zina Bash, who works for Kavanaugh, quietly flashing the white power sign. Welcome to the dystopia, folks.”

Tommy Christopher, writer for a George Soros-funded website: “The woman sitting behind Kavanaugh giving what appears to be a white supremactist ‘Pepe’ salute has been identified as Zina Bash, member of Trump’s transition, domestic policy, and now SCOTUS team.”

Eugene Gu, MD: “Kavanaugh’s former law clerk Zina Bash is flashing a white power sign behind him during his Senate confirmation hearing. They literally want to bring white supremacy to the Supreme Court. What a national outrage and a disgrace to the rule of law.”

These people and the scores who tweeted in their support were deterred not a bit by the fact that Zina Bash is the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, and that her mother is a native of Mexico. Not a likely white supremacist.

They seem not to have wondered why a white supremacist would find it necessary or useful to communicate such beliefs by an obscure hand gesture that isn’t really a white supremacist hand gesture, when so many other forms of communication are readily available and more easily concealed from alert eyes like their own.

They seem to find it inconceivable that everyone doesn’t know that the hand gesture recognized universally and for many years in this country as signifying “OK” now signifies support of white supremacy.

In other words, they have taken leave of their senses.

The more they tell us Trump is crazy, the crazier they themselves act.

I read the same opinion piece that was replete with gun-ban talking points and fallacies.

I suspected that Kavanaugh would interpret the 2nd Amendment accurately & the article you were kind enough to provide simply reinforced what I already suspected.

The article also exemplifies the MSM's anti 2nd Amendment bias that has succeeded in deceiving so many people.
    Thanks,

The way the man is so dismissive of the second amendment is frightening.

Heller is the law, and it's not changing. Even Obama nominated Garland, who was on board with that.

The Second is not going anywhere. However, probably, a place like Wash DC or Chicago not let people buy AR-15 type weapons.

I would say a place like DC or Chicago would be the place a law abiding citizen would NEED a AR-15.

Instead of writing about his opinions, why not read the actual opinions themselves without the political filtration.

I would say the people in Chicago or DC should decide that for themselves, and the rest of us should **** about it.

As is so typical of the left-the outcome is often the exact opposite of the intent.

He's a walk to the Supreme Court.

Hey Leftists... you have to win elections to pick judges. Good luck in 2020, you are going to need it.

Well CNN is speaking to their far left constituents.

Sort of like Fox News speaks to their far right ones.

You think there are not people in DC or Chicago that want their 2nd amendment rights protected? If you lived in a violent area wouldnt you want the option of having a means of protecting your family?

In Heller, Scalia wrote that local govts could restrict certain types of weapons such as "assault rifles" so long as people still had the means to defend themselves in their homes. And Heller was about DC.

This question and issue harkens back to the period shortly after the U.S. Civil War.

Then as now, nobody wants blacks to have firearms.

That's what the slippery slope is all about.

Well we dont have to agree with every decision made by the supreme court. I am rarely for victim disarmament laws. Though I have no issue with registration.

True many of these laws target minorities far more then whites. A white outside of a inner city can have all the protections he wants but for some reason we cannot trust a black man with a gun inside a city. To me that is wrong.

You can rest assured that Heller allows the people of DC and Chicago to defend their homes. Now about that cross you're on.....

However, the minorities tend to dominate the elected positions in Chicago and DC. So it isn't really about race.

We are not a democracy and were never intended to be a democracy.

Rights are rights, period. If you don't believe that the people should have a right to bear arms, then pursue the Constitutional amendment to make that agenda legitimate. People shouldn't have their rights stripped from them simply because a majority thinks they should.

As Ben Franklin once said: "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."

People in DC can have all the handguns and shotguns they desire. You need not worry about their ability to defend their homes. LOL
