So it should be state based rather than a national system?

Tell us what you did to "bring us together and heal" when President Trump was inaugurated.
My investigating, research and due diligence of your posts over the past years showed me you did nothing but the opposite, so your OP question is rather hypocritical don't you think?

There was absolutely nothing anybody could do to "bring us together". I mean.... from day ONE Trump did everything in his power to drive us further apart. From his childish rants about crowd size on inauguration day, to his false and idiotic accusation that Obama "wiretapped" him... there was nothing on this planet anybody anywhere could have done to stop him from making the division worse.... And it only got worse from then on.

The worst thing about Trump supporters, is how easily they forget the past.

Nah! I take that back. Actually, the inability to visualize consequences of their acts beyond a few days into the future is worse.

Chris, we have a public health care system. Health care is available to the poor and folks with no insurance, you'll just have to stand in line to get it. I know, I went 7 years with no health insurance. I went to the County Health Center for regular stuff and the County Hospital if I needed anything else. Did I have to wait in line...yep. Did it suck...yep. But, I wasn't in a position for full time employment and company sponsored health care. Am I now...yep. I work hard for a Cadillac Health Plan at the age of 61 with disabilities. If I can still work after being run over by a 28,000 lb Armored Truck on the highway at 55 mph, for those that simply can't there is SSI Disability/Medicare. For those that won't, go wait in line at the County, you'll get care.

    https://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/

They want the same level of convenience that folks work hard to get......without working for it.

You used a whole lot of words just to admit you did nothing to help. Thank you for your honesty. Now tell us why a deplorable would want to listen to any of your pleadings for unity?

I did everything to help. I voted against Trump. Which was the only thing any rational person could do to help keep this country united.

Today, trump tweeted 'get well soon' to Biden after he broke his foot.
    That was a nice gesture.

Of course, those who disagree will argue that healthcare is a RIGHT.

Yeah, and I guess when that is pointed out to them, they will say that it SHOULD be a right.

It's not an argument I would make.

At the same time, places that do not get adequate health care serve as reservoirs of disease in an epidemic that will stymie efforts to control the disease in situations like this.

It's like trying to draw your pistol and shooting your dick off.

Trump supporters will never accept Biden as a legitimate President.

Yes, certainly healthcare doesn't NEED to be a right in order for it to be drastically improved. Arguing that it is a right just seems like a desperate attempt for people to claim that they are right and everyone who disagrees with them are wrong, because after all - who can oppose radical healthcare reform if healthcare is a RIGHT? At the end of the day, my conservatism doesn't match the conservatism of American conservatives on the subject of healthcare, mainly because I don't know nearly enough about it, as well as the fact that I have been happily living under the public healthcare system of Australia for most of my life, and prior to that was living under the public healthcare system in the UK, both of which are obviously radically different to the US system. Everyone, both on the right and left in Australia and the UK accept the healthcare system and are happy with it. And while change is proposed to expand the systems, nobody proposes to go the other way. Certainly, if a political party went to an election promising to move to a more American style system, they would literally not receive one single vote. It would be political suicide.

Is the country STILL united? If so, what exactly uniting it? The good news is, that if it turns out that the country is NOT united, fear not! Biden will ABSOLUTELY unite the country! :roflol:

Did it matter to the left that they continually attacked Trump? Was that a good thing? Sorry, Joe will get the same treatment Trump got for all 4 years.

Sure, the left won't have a leg to stand on if they try to attack people for not accepting Biden as a legitimate President, but this doesn't make it a good thing to not accept someone as a legitimate President.

A lot of them won't. Trump told them that the election was crooked and a lot of conservative media echoed him.

The GOP now has to decide if it going to double-down on Trump's lies or try to move on. I'm not sure which would help or hurt them most politically. Trump did very well out of blatant lies, though he did lose the Whitehouse in 2020.

Of course! Reason, facts and logic are not what I would expect Trump supporters to follow.

They are meaningless to the left. Tell me how you can flip a coin 150,000 and 200,000 time and have it come up heads every time? Go peddle that tripe to someone else.

It's not. It hasn't been this divided probably since the Civil War. I doubt Biden will be able to unite the country while Trump still has a large following. The first step to unite the country would have to start by uniting Republicans within their own party. And Trump will have none of that.

As I said: rational thought, logic and facts are not what I would expect from most Trump followers. And the post I quote makes my point.
