From the way it looks now, the Republicans' worst outcome would put the Senate at 50-50. With Pence, it would keep the control of the Senate in Republican hands.

AKA Tuberville is going to win in Alabama.

Gotta love those independently-minded leftist echo chambers. Wait until told what to think.

I think you should definitely impeach Hunter.

BTW, it didn't "start" with Giuliani's laptop. Before that there was Demasking-gate (investigation silently closed with no indictments and... not even a report), Trump tower wire tapping (not even worth investigating), Benghazi (exonerated), Email-gate (exonerated), IRS-gate (exonerated), Burisma (not even worth investigating) ... and on and on with myriads of other debunked conspiracy theories.

At this point, Republicans have actually given Biden a license to engage in real scandalous behavior. Because, after all these conspiracy theories.... who's going to believe Republicans anyway?

Highly unlikely. But not impossible. But you're right. It does start at the top. Obama tried and failed. Trump has made every effort to divide us. Biden... who knows....

I'm just saying that, if Biden wins, I won't be gloating on November 4 (or whenever the elections are called). But I will be defending what I hope Biden needs to do to get this country back on track.

Neither side will accept the results of this election.
    Why should they?

agree, the party of "no" will be back and calling themselves the tea party, all of a sudden being concerned about the debt again and want nothing to pass

the realty is, we will have to spend going forward as the economy can not survive without it, were a house of cards and federal spending is the only thing keeping the economy afloat, we have passed the point of no return, now it's just how long can we keep it afloat before it sinks

our Middle East wars, excessive foreign outsourcing and excessive foreign imports have put us in a position we can't get out of without pain

Al Gore was pretty graceful. Hopefully if it comes down to the line both Biden or Trump will be the same

I think that 90% is his job approval. Not his popularity. Many people, for some reason I have yet to understand, think that Trump accomplished.... something. Even though, when asked, they can't quite specify what it was he actually "accomplished" for them. But I don't think a majority of those who answered in the polls that they approve of him actually like him. I'm convinced they would much prefer somebody more towards the middle. And those are people Biden can work with.

It's not likely that Biden will succeed in unifying us. Especially not if partisan hacks like Mitch McConnell remain in power. But there is room for a little bit of hope.

As for the extremists.... Biden can just say "yeah... we're going to keep all those hundreds of miles of wall that Trump says he built" They're so gullible it might work.

It has become to easy to rig elections for anyone to have confidence in the results.

agree with that, would not expect any different from either party, my issue is when a party will not pass something both parties agree on, because they see it as a win for the other party, that is where the problems come in

I hope to see some bills pass like infrastructure, and other items that help the economy and the people

Trump could have easily passed an infrastructure deal, not sure why he backed out of that one

Well, Americans must have really done some bad karma for the past few decades to be in such a terrible state.

Except welfare is designed to keep you in poverty, and low corporate tax rates are designed to keep companies in the US and to create jobs. Trump has been wildly successful in all of this.

No children were abducted from "refugees". Crossing a border doesn't make you a refugee. Most of the children brought across that border are for sex traffic or are gang members. Many of those children were abandoned by their parents. Why exactly would the federal government want to "abduct" children? Your premise doesn't even make any sense.

    1) The Tax Cuts & Jobs Act directly benefitted me.
    2) I appreciate that the individual mandate has been effectively repealed (penalty reduced to $0). Even though I continue to maintain my own health insurance coverage, I feel a little freer without the government penalizing "we, the people" for our choice on whether to purchase that product or not.
    3) I appreciate the judges and justices he's nominated. My right to keep and bear arms is in a much more secure position now than previously

You're wrong (and this is a perfect example of why we can't /won't have unity). For one, the democrats do not "have to" nuke the filibuster. They want to (so that they can ignore the minority and ram through their own policies). "Unity" does not lie down that path. It's a massive increase in partisanship.

The legislative filibuster effectively requires legislation to be bipartisan. By doing away with that, the dems would be signaling that they don't care about unity / bipartisanship.

You and I both. I do think Biden will try to reach across the aisle. He did so both as a senator and as VP. So it'll be up to the GOP to respond in kind. At least I think he will. How much the Democratic controlled congress will go along with that, that remains to be seen. But someone needs to make the first move.

Let them gloat over how negative propaganda campaigning wins over positive campaigning.. It's entirely up to how Joe and Hoe and how they keep up with the economy and how people fared under the last four years of Trumps policy.. And before you toss up the old Xi flu, well it looks like Old Brain Bleed and his VP are going to get a chance to strut their expertise ;)

    Lol.

After 4 years of onslaught from the left about Trump, every investigation, impeachment, blame, name calling....

With you being in of the primary contributors.

"We tried it your way". Of **** no you didn't. I'll remind you that the first 3 years before the pandemic the US had one of the strongest economies in history, longest peacetime without conflict in decades, and it "didn't work".

Pfff. This has to be a troll thread.

The left has displayed for several years now that if they don't get their way, they will throw a nonstop temper tantrum, but now if your guy wins you want to heal.

    GTFOH with that nonsense.
