You aren't born with any rights.

If you'd slow down for one second, you'd realize I am not arguing for or against the existence of these rights. That is another topic.

My argument is that "endowed by their creator" is a colloquialism. It means born with. Arguing against the existence of God has zero bearing on the existence of inalienable rights.

I arguing there is no evidence of born-with rights. It sounds like you agree. We don't have a right to healthcare and don't have a right to bear arms. In my opinions these are just proposed social contract that some argue are beneficial for society.

In the mind of the collectivist, rights can only be dispensed by "government".

I haven't really made the argument either way.

Of course we predicated granting powers to government upon the notion of inalienable rights, and only granted government the powers spelled out in the constitution.
It has never granted us any rights.

We also have the power of the vote.

Although the vote has done nothing to undo the Patriot Act.
The system is pretty well gamed to not give power back once We The People yield the power to the gov't.

Our gov't is citizens. Its suppose to be.
We elect them from among us.

So the right to bear arms describes a gov't power? Our freedom of speech and religions is power granted to the gov't?

If humans are born with them, then every human would have them.
    That is not the case.

And no one can say which creator. So there are 100s or more creators.

Younger generations grow up with the new normal so it is normal to them.

That would be factual. To civil countries. Although gov't isn't required. But an enforcing mechanism is a requirement.

Other wise rights are dispensed by the strongest or sometimes smartest.

That boy has the gift of music.
Does that mean someone gave it to him?

    Colloquialism not literalism

    You don't like definitions?

No one is born with any rights. They have to be earned or given. Period.

All sorts of people are born with special talents. But not every human.

Because my rights come from God, I can morally and legally resist when government infringes upon them. There are enough that believe as I do we can carry that out. God's laws are higher than man's laws. If atheists feel they are stronger, let them try.

    Your point?
Has nothing to do with creator or endowed. Which is your entire premise.

    Can you name those laws?

Anyway, this thread is about rights, not laws.
Your point is soooo weak, you need to show with some kind of threat. Fail.
Unless your threat is actually to prove might makes right. Which is my main pont on rights. Without an enforcing mechanism, gov't typically, might makes right is the only rights one can have.

Yes I most definitely can and they are summed up in two.......but you are right, this thread is about rights , not laws. My point is only weak to the weak minded. I threaten nobody unless threatened.
