Tell me about yourself...

 

I guess I'm more of a consequentialist (even at the sight of God). When push comes to shove, I'm not interesting in knowing, but how to make things better. In reality, this is most often achieved by knowledge, but if I truly was able to ask an omniscient being, that part could be cut out.

That being said, I could maybe go one step further. "There has to be at least one set of information which maximises my positive impact on the world. There may be several such steps. What would be the set which (while maximising my positive impact) also maximises my understanding of the world?"

 

From 1990 to 2000 I was often so angry with Messiah Yeshua - Jesus for what I perceived as underachievement ....... that I used four letter words often when I prayed....... Instead of getting angry and zapping me....... my life has been taken up to a higher level of Shalom - peace of mind....... and even accomplishment than I could have imagined back in 1989!

 

Now I may be way way way way off in this theory but I have suspected for a couple of decades that the fallen angel whose name was translated "Lucifer" may be somewhat like King Saul of Ancient Israel...… I have suspected for a couple or three years that the fallen angel known as "Lilith" may be somewhat like his daughter Queen Mishal… the wife of King David..... and I suspected that perhaps the fallen angel "Azazel" of Leviticus 16:10 may be somewhat like the General Abner of the fallen angelic kingdom????!

A near death experiencer did confirm some aspects of my suspicions about Lucifer when he wrote........

My goal back in 1990 was to tempt a fallen angel to take one significant step in the right direction............. which could become a habit........... and if one of the most fallen of the fallen angels - Watchers.... sons of G-d..... could begin to come back into light/ love/ truth/ forgiveness vs vengeance...… I felt that the atmosphere of the invisible but quite negative realm around our fourth dimensional space - time continuum..... could be significantly altered for the better....... and all the earth might well benefit???!!!

I agree. That's why I included "what information would make me act best", rather than "how should I act". This means I wouldn't get information which was true but I suspect came from something like a magic eight ball and therefore didn't enact.

 

On second thoughts I find myself wondering why I'd ever want to talk with a sado masochist who tortured his own son who was actually himself ( if you swallow the absurdity of trinitarian theology) in order to atone for humanities sins he made possible in the first place. Seriously mad I suggest.

I think I would ask the most puzzling question of all....that being why are women so annoying yet why most men love them so much? LOL!!!

Given the complete and utter lack of meaningful communication god must be male. If she was female there wouldn't be any lack of communication between god and humans. In fact "we have to talk" would be an absolute requirement for everyone wanting a relationship with god.

 

I always find it highly amusing when anyone assigns gender to a so called GOD.

I'm thinking this god has a very warped sense of humor.

 

I'm acquainted with Matthew 21:33-46 and although it may cast some light on how the Christian God is supposed to work it certainly does not justify in any way his methods.
We might usefully contrast Matthew 21:33-46 with Psalm 58:10.
"The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked."
But lets get something right out in the open here, no amount of biblical apologestics can explain away the bibles blatent contradictions.
Take for example Psalm, 92:12: "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree." and contrast it with Isaiah.57:1 : "The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come."
This last passage would appear to have some validity until we ask ourselves why the righteous are spared the trouble of fighting evil.
