Unfortunately, the wheels of justice turn slowly in the US, especially for defendants who insist on going to trial, when our system is designed more around plea bargaining. If he can't make bail, it's entirely possible Kyle could sit in jail for an extended period of time as well, and still ultimately be found not guilty. It's not a race thing, it's more of a can you (any given defendant) afford bail or not. If you can't, you sit and wait, unless the Judge gives you ROR. Nothing whatsoever to do with race, applies equally to all.
