So, I have been talking with people on the Bitcoin forum and we have been discussing robots and how they would fit into America. I personally think immigration wouldn't be a problem if the government offered $100 each summer to every kid in America to use to hire those immigrants. The word "Citizen" would just become synonymous with "Employer"... But robots are an entirely different kind of thing. Robots would kick cities like Detroit back into high gear, as well as offer a workforce similar to immigrants, but that don't need to be paid at all. And what if the government didn't just make robots for itself. What if there were just service bots walking around helping people, or bots that could be rented on credit. America would become a place where anyone could come and be the boss. Anyone could come and live free and easy. Inventions would boom and the art world would be filled with new minds.
Robot slaves? Sounds good, but you know that as with everything else they will be used for criminal behavior. What's to stop people from building armies of robots? I agree that the art world will be filled with new minds. We will see a new renaissance if people can be free to create without worrying about profiting from their creations.
I mean building an army of robots would be pretty obvious I'd think, and you would be found out. And what's to stop someone from doing that now?
Nothing! There is nothing to stop someone from doing that now. I suppose it depends on the definition of army. I mean how many robots does it take to form an army? I'm sure it could be done. Omg now I'm freaking out! Omg omg omg robots!
