One of the best podcasts I have seen. Tim Pool is the alt news journalist whose popularity is skyrocketing on youtube. In this podcast, Tim Pool confronts Jack Dorsey's bad habit of banning conservatives from Twitter while ignoring ANTIFA terrorists and left wing organizations that perpetrated a Russian hoax to interfere in Alabama's senate election. This is what speaking truth to power looks like. THERE MAY BE HOPE! Jack seemed to take Tim's criticism to heart including the idea of removing permanent bans. Could there be a path to a free speech victory? I hope so.
Any RW Troll banned from Twitter DESERVES it. Not really sure what a pathetic Media Whore like Joe Rogan is going to do about it.
I haven't watched this yet. Probably won't be able to until the weekend but I listen to Tim every chance I get. He doesn't let bias get in the way of his reporting and doen't skewer facts to appeal to a base. Honestly I trust him more than I do any of the major news networks.
Probably won't watch it. Just chiming in because I hate it when people bring up 'free speech' in completely the wrong way. Free speech is only about being protected from any reprisal by the government for your speech. That is all. It is not about giving everyone an equal platform, or forcing private enterprises to tailor their output to someone's liking. Twitter would be free tomorrow to start randomly blocking every other user for no particular reason. This is not a free speech issue at all. HOWEVER, twitter being a revenue generating enterprise, it's customers, and even non customers have every right to pressure the company to reflect their values. Be it through boycott of sponsors, bad publicity, not using it's product etc... No idea who tim pool is, but if he's able to get a platform to try to influence the CEO of Twitter and try to make twitter completely balanced, good for him and his cause. However, should twitter decide to become a leftwing beacon and decided that they have enough dedicated clients that want that, that is well within their rights if it fits into their business plan. That is exactly what Fox has done. The lack of cogent and consistent left wing views on Fox is not a 'free speech' issue, it is a business plan by a private company. Should Tim Pool be taking them to task?
If you have a functioning set of eyes and ears, and maybe a dozen brain cells, it should be glaringly obvious where twitter stands.
