    Article: https://www.infowars.com/exclusive-...ithin-the-united-states-to-stop-illegal-coup/

Article is based on the following directive, signed Oct 3, from marines.mil/News:
    https://www.marines.mil/News/Messag...and-deactivation-of-reserve-component-marines

Mainly I'm looking for servicemembers and/or former servicemembers familiar with this jargon to provide some insight into what exactly this 'directive' actually means.

    additional portion of interest:
2.A. Per REF B, if a Governor requests Federal assistance in responding to a major disaster or emergency (as those terms are defined in §102 of REF C) the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) may, without the consent of the member affected, order any unit, and any member not assigned to a unit organized to serve as a unit, of the Marine Corps Reserve to active duty for a continuous period of not more than 120 days to respond to the Governor’s request.

Because your source is Infowars. What surprise me is that the thread is not populated by Republicans as I thought Infowars was a trusted source on the right. Apparently my assumption was wrong, thankfully so.

No objective person uses Infowars as a source just as no objective person uses the Daly Kos as a source. The article in no way proves the claim made in the thread title.

You might've noticed I specifically requested "looking for servicemembers and/or former servicemembers familiar with this jargon to provide some insight into what exactly this 'directive' actually means."

Do you think this is just a 'run of the mill' activation? What "major disaster or emergency within the United States" do you suspect it may be referring to?

Speculation is counterproductive to a search for facts.

Well I have tried. No MSM is covering it. ABC Business News was the closest I could find... and they cite Natural News, the same source Infowars cited. Same speculation.

This thread is the result of my 'search for facts' because I havn't found any.

    Do you have any?

Have you considered that perhaps the story is untrue thus there are no facts to be found? I am not saying this the case, but neither can I claim this is not the case. Follow the evidence and if the evidence leads to no facts then one must reassess the validity of the claim and question one’s own objectivity, or lack there of. That is what I do. This requires a brutal level of honesty to nearly a masochistic level to work thought.

I'm basing this off of what I can read from www.marines.mil (linked in OP). "In accordance with (IAW) REF A, this MARADMIN provides guidance for the activation of Reserve Component (RC) Marines under §12304a, Title 10, U.S. Code, following a request for Federal assistance in response to a major disaster or emergency within the United States. Requests for Federal assistance will come with little warning. As required, the Marine Corps must rapidly mobilize RC units and personnel IAW this MARADMIN in order to respond to threats in the Homeland."

Someone thinks "Federal assistance in response to a major disaster or emergency within the United States" will be requested "with little warning." Furthermore, given that the activation period may be "for a continuous period of not more than 120 days" and only The President and/or Congress can activate reservists for longer than 15 days, it stands to reason someone is expecting The President or Congress to activate the Marine Reserves "in response to a major disaster or emergency within the United States" "with little warning." Again, I'm quoting from the "guidance for the activation of Reserve Component (RC) Marines" outlined at www.marines.mil, signed 4 days ago (10/3/2019), not any speculative news site.

I included Infowars in the OP only because they are the only ones reporting this at all, and their narrative/speculation is the only one.
