Missiles fired from Iran towards Israel. Over 100 of them, I heard.
Stay tuned for details. Better yet, turn your TV on.

Most, if not all, were shot down and I am sure Iran knew that would happen. Symbolic show of support for Lebanon? Probably. This attack was expected after the Israeli attack on Lebanon.

You mean the Iranians shot some outdated missiles to clear their storage? It could be, yeah.

they wanted to show their fundi bandit supporters that they were going to DO SOMETHING. But they have given the Israelis a carte blanche to put a serious butt-whipping on Iran. as I noted earlier, Iran should have ceased to exist when it took our people hostage almost 50 years ago. Iranian Oil fields should be the property of the USA and Israel

One expert (Lt General Keith Kellog) is suggesting Israel hit Iran where it really hurts-wipe out their nuclear operations.

I think we ought to seize their oil fields as reparations. after Israel takes out their nuclear capabilities. Iran shot 180 ballistic missiles at Israel. Israel has the moral authority to do whatever they want to do to Iran

    Yikes.

Rosh Hashanah begins tomorrow at sundown which starts the "10 Days of Awe" through Yum Kippur Friday evening Oct 11 and ends Oct 12.

There's also a solar eclipse tomorrow.

Israel would need to wrap it all up before tomorrow evening?

Sheer stupidity. Are you just salivating at the idea of this turning into WW3??
Israel spent all of their moral authority on October 8th, and is now deeply in moral debt.

I don't think so, since they expected Iran to respond this way after they attacked Lebanon.

Not to clear their storage, but to show at least some support for Lebanon (which is their ally).

Yes, that's pretty much it, except Israel has no interest in attacking Iran. They needed to hit Lebanon, and they knew Iran would respond in this manner, and Israel was ready for it. No one was killed in the attack.

I don't know what they mean. Hezbollah is the 2nd largest political party in Lebanon, - democratically elected, but they also have a military wing, which is considered a terrorist organization by pretty much every Western country. I assume Israel is referring to the military wing.

yeah, one analysis I listened to was that Iran "saved face" by its launch but it wants to de-escalate now since the last thing they want is Israel hitting their leadership or nuclear facilities

The Iranians are afraid, and rightly so. The Israelis have shown they can hit anyone, anywhere.

Yes, especially before they've actually managed to build their nuke. That would be bad for Iranian future diplomatic strengths because as we all know, if you've got a nuke then you're always in the right .

Yes, they know Israel has better technology, an air force. Iran has plenty of ground forces, and artillery, but there will never be a ground war between them and Israel, since they are so far apart. Also, US has deployed a LOT of navy assets in the area in support for Israel.

And Iran is very likely riddled with Israeli intelligence penetrations.
