Yes, that's pretty much it, except Israel has no interest in attacking Iran. They needed to hit Lebanon, and they knew Iran would respond in this manner, and Israel was ready for it. No one was killed in the attack. I don't know what they mean. Hezbollah is the 2nd largest political party in Lebanon, - democratically elected, but they also have a military wing, which is considered a terrorist organization by pretty much every Western country. I assume Israel is referring to the military wing.
yeah, one analysis I listened to was that Iran "saved face" by its launch but it wants to de-escalate now since the last thing they want is Israel hitting their leadership or nuclear facilities

Yes, they know Israel has better technology, an air force. Iran has plenty of ground forces, and artillery, but there will never be a ground war between them and Israel, since they are so far apart. Also, US has deployed a LOT of navy assets in the area in support for Israel.
