They are Barbarians indeed they are but Zobama did not give them any money that was the frozen Iranian funds it was their money. If you want to debate why can't you debate with honesty instead of MUS.?

It's a war against radical Islam that they started. Innocents die.

If you're squeamish about it, turn off your TV and don't read about it.

Don't whine to me about the real world.

The REASON that sane people would resort to the barbaric practice of torture on their own people(!) is because their heroes Mohammad and Jesus ("Isa", in Islam, is the Islamic messiah, who will return) APPROVED OF TORTURE. Mo ordered a Jewish treasurer tortured so Mo could get the loot, and Jesus/god approved of torture in the barbaric Bible: https://valerietarico.com/2014/12/30/who-when-why-10-times-the-bible-says-torture-is-ok/

    Don't follow savages.

Keep in mind that they are so savage that they will torture people for simply becoming a Buddhist, for example (if they are currently a Muslim.) Barbaric.

Do Muslims have the moral courage to condemn Mohammad for approving of torture?

Iranian Monitor's posts are extremely interesting and informative.

In general, people who have not been to a country have little idea of the day-to-day realities of life in that country. They tend to pick up one or two facts, or 'facts', and generalize from them. When I traveled in Cuba a couple of years ago, I was surprised to see small American flags flying from some of the buses and taxis. And I was also surprised to find Cuban citizens blogging on the internet, critical of their own government, even writing articles very critical of it in on-line newspapers. (See The Havana Times .)

An interesting book on Iran is Shirin Ebadi's Iran Awakening. It gives you a sense of the contradictory nature of Iran. Not a liberal democracy by any means, not even a Singapore authoritarian democracy, but not a Persian North Korea either. And above all, not a static society. (How many people know that the Total Fertility Rate in Iran is now below replacement level. That is, it's similar to European countries, not to Third World countries. That's what happens when you educate women.)

The thing of interest for people in the West is this: what can our governments do to encourage the evolution of Iran towards a more liberal society? What many political people in the West -- Left and Right -- seem to assume is that when they see co-thinkers in other countries marching in the streets, that they therefore represent the great majority of society. (I well recall the Left's assumption that the 1973 coup in Chile was carried out and supported by a tiny minority, against an overwhelmingly popular government. Not so -- probably half the people in Chile did not oppose, or even supported, the coup. )

And in Iran, I am sure there is still a great well of conservative opinion, especially in the countryside and among older people. And I'm also sure that when the American government ostentatiously gives its support to Iranian oppositionists, it's giving them the kiss of death, given America's shameful history with respect to Iran, something even Iranian liberals are resentful about.

You can't jump over your own head. Iran will not be able to resist the tide of modernity, (especially as it's not a backward society of people barely out of the stone age but the current incarnation of a highly-civilized people), but this tide moves slowly. We can help it evolve by NOT isolating the place, by encouraging economic growth there, by encouraging as much contact with ordinary Iranians as possible.

I'm in no bubble. I watch more liberal media than conservative media. My son gets upset at me because I watch MSNBC.

MSNBC is "bubble media" ... Establishment propaganda same as most of the MSM. Fox - (not that Fox is not Establishment propaganda) is better these days than MSNBC - them and CNN, NYTimes, and so on are utter crap-o-la especially when in comes to foreign policy but also in relation to maintaining "necessary illusions" and false narratives coming out of the State Dep't and Pentagon.

It is amazing that CNN still calls itself "news" never mind "the most trusted news".

Psssst .. over here .. yeah come closer ... have a secret ... 1st rule of journalism school "Thou Shalt Not Editorialize"

CNN is mostly editorializing these days. Gone are the days of someone just reading the news without opinion.
