After Hezbollah leader Nasrallah claimed Saudi Arabia 'is inciting Israel to launch a war against Lebanon,' Iranian President Rouhani says it's 'reprehensible and shameful for a Muslim country in the region to beg the Zionist regime to bomb the people of Lebanon.'
Iran's President Hassan Rouhani accused Saudi Arabia on Wednesday of "begging" Israel to bomb Lebanon.
"It is very reprehensible and shameful for a Muslim country in the region to beg the Zionist regime to bomb the people of Lebanon," Rouhani said at a government meeting, according to Iranian English-language news network PressTV."It is unprecedented in history for a Muslim country to take such measures, and this indicates the immaturity of the individuals, who have come to power in those countries," the Iranian president added, apparently implying at Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

It's common knowledge not to believe a Muslim Arab even if he is buried
    underground for 30 years ...
Now we can say that about the Pershian Muslims.
    What BS !! .. Please

If the story is true .. and a Muslim Arab country asked those who kill Palestinians 24/7 to bomb another Muslim Arab country ...
Something is weird ... very weird.
Maybe they know that nobody kill Palestinians ...?

Yes the Saudi's desperately wanted Israel to attack Lebanon to weaken Hezbollah who are a threat to Saudi Arabia in Yemen and also stirring dissent within Saudi Arabia's eastern province that has been brewing for a long time. Saudi Arabia imports almost $400 million every year from Lebanon I believe they will squeeze the Lebanese economy as much as they can.

Israel on the other hand have been there and done that ito bombing Lebanon and doesn't seem to be taking the bait.

Iranian's regime officials' declarations regarding Israel and Saudi Arabia may not always reflect the whole truth and nothing but the truth. In their twisted worldview siding with Israel means betraying Islam and Muslims, that's why one's enemies are usually accused of being either Zionists or Jews themselves. That being said, there's no doubt that Saudi Arabia would be very pleased to have Israel deal with the Iranian hot potato.

Sending our youth to die in the Hezbollah infested quagmire of Lebanon to make it easier for the Saudis in Yemen is not an option.

There's nothing Israel wants more than peace with Lebanon. Bombing them to the stone age - even if only to destroy Hezbollah and end Iranian meddling, which many Lebanese yearn for themselves - is not exactly the best way to make the Israeli olive branch appealing to the Lebanese.

Solving the Hezbollah problem militarily would involve a world war, as they're embedded not only in Lebanon, but in many South American countries and in Europe (if Jeremy Dances-With-Terrorists Corbyn wins the next elections, UK will become their second most important stronghold after Lebanon). They must be first uprooted from any other country on this Earth. Then taking them out in Lebanon would become possible.

Hezbollah is one of the biggest drug dealers on the planet. They are at the same time a political party, a proxy army of the Iranian regime, a terrorist organization, and members of a crime syndicate. Shredding Lebanon to oblivion won't make Hezbollah disappear.

You surely remember our discussion about the support Hezbollah enjoys in Sunni, Christian and Druze communities. It just dawned on me that at least some of this support is due to the very big sums of money involved in drug dealings. Many people live off the drug trade (even some on the Israeli side of the border...).

Israel co-sponsored with Saudi Arabia a UN resolution to condemn Syria for human rights abuses. That was yesterday. Hopefully the first day of a long common struggle to make the Middle East a safer place for its people.

yes I am aware, I believe Hezbollah's revenue from South American drug sales are estimated round $100 million a year.

Also, ISIS committed genocide on the Syrian and Iraqi Christian minorities, that would provide motivation to join Hezbollah

Forgive me but I find much irony in Saudi Arabia sponsoring a UN resolution on human rights abuses

UN it that place where democracies surrender to the worst human rights offenders. Giving every country a voice in the international body might sound brotherhood-ish and white-dove-ish until one understands that fraternizing with bloody dictators is not going to secure human rights for people trapped in dictatorships.

Saudi Arabia didn't sign most of the human rights treaties, therefore it's not bounded by them. Syria, on the other hand, signed and ratified some of the treaties. That's why Saudi Arabia has the right to condemn Syria at the UN, but not the other way round.

Hypocritical isn't it... they won't sign the damn treaty but they're happy to use it on someone else

You don't know a thing about Saudi Arabia. For well over a decade the Saudis have wanted Hezbollah to cool it because they present an obstacle to peace with Israel.. and some peaceful solution with Israel is vital to the ME.

    Your post does not contradict what I posted nor do I dispute the Saudi Israel relationship, seems you’re just looking for an aguement. Let me make it clear that you have zero credibility as far as I’m concerned due to your irrational denial of some very basic facts on Saudi Arabia like;

Their funding of extremism including ISIS
    Their dismal human rights record
The magnitude of the threat Saudi Arabia are currently facing from Hezbollah.

If you continue to troll me with your irrational out of the blue statements and Saudi marketing brochures I’ll just put you on ignore.

If Iran said it, it must be true. Especially if it's on the internet.

I am not trolling you.. That's beyond ridiculous. What marketing brochures are you talking about?

Hezbollah is not a threat to Saudi Arabia. Hezbollah is a threat to Lebanon because they are controlled by Iran and Iran's government doesn't care about Lebanon or its people.

The Israelis have apparently passed up Saudi overtures to get themselves bloodied in a war with Hezbollah and are trying to appease them in other ways.

I don't believe for a minute that Saudi Arabia begged Israel to attack Lebanon or Hezbollah. Do you?

It doesn't matter so much what you and I believe, which will obviously not be the same thing. The Israelis were already privately complaining that the Saudis were trying to drag them their dirty work in Lebanon. The Saudis not realizing that dragging others to do their dirty work is actually an Israeli specialty!

Some Israelis were making that claim.. Israel has their liars and trouble makes just as we do in the US.

Look at the Russian news outlets.. Sputnik and Russia Today.. They are really pushing their claims that KSA is begging Israel to attack Iran.

Saudi obsession with Iran is nothing new, but they used to be more discreet about it.

Incidentally, it doesn't matter who released the cables. The cables were indisputably Saudi diplomatic cables and their veracity was never in dispute.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/17/world/middleeast/wikileaks-saudi-arabia-iran.html
WikiLeaks Shows a Saudi Obsession With Iran

And, of course, the Saudis have for some time tried to urge various actors to take military action against Iran. They used to do it more quietly, but now days have become rather public about it.

Saudi king urged U.S. to attack Iran: WikiLeaks

What cables released from wikileaks revealed about Saudi Arabia when they used to these things quietly, is now revealed by the Saudis more or less openly. Not a day goes by without some Saudi high ranking official mouthing about Iran. This report below was posted less than an hour ago.

Saudi foreign minister says message to Iran is: 'enough is enough'

My view: The House of Saud have lost their marbles and are busy digging their own grave.

Saudi Arabia got the prime minster of Libanon trapped in the country. It's all for the sake of making the Libanon switch their side of being pro Iran to be pro Saudi. And so is this bombing thing.

He's not trapped in Arabia. Let Hezbollah mop up Syria, deal with the remnants of ISIS and the refugees..

    What "bombing thing"?
