So our President meets with Putin and basically bows down to kiss his ring instead of calling him out for hitting us. How did this make you feel?

Trump IS a traitor to America.

There is NO other possible view on his unwillingness to defend our nation against the assault on our democracy and his willingness to cozy up to Putin.

is that embarrassing? I would say that's the least of it. It goes way beyond that.

I approve of his diplomacy with Russia so far. Frankly I think our future lies more with Russia then the EU to counter China. We know the Russians are bastards but we deal with bastards all the time.

His kissing up conduct and appeasement, along with the support given to him by the right wing, proves his treason & hatred for the USA. Same for his supporters much to their shame.

Yup, it's no better than telling the Russian Envoy,"After my election, I will have more flexibility"

Both are embarassing, and it's pathetic that both sides in the last election were corrupted by the Russians.

They will be best friends and a new page will be opened between Russia and America.....

    Same as always lol

And then in about 2 months time, they will be back to Cold War as usual.

    Happens every new president.

News that an American president would betray his country for the benefit of a foreign power is far from an aberration to anyone who has been watching the machinations of influential Israeli lobbies since they began domination US policy in the volatile Mid East many decades and many $ Trillions ago.

Those who are truly concerned about the detrimental effects of foreign agents operating deeply inside the highest levels of US government should be more concerned about Congress's "Dual" Israeli - American citizens who help decide when we go to war & for whom.

“QUIETLY LOBBYING CONGRESS TO APPROVE THE USE OF FORCE IN IRAQ WAS ONE OF AIPAC’S SUCCESSES OVER THE PAST YEAR.”
AIPAC Executive Director Howard Kohr; N.Y. Sun, Jan. 2003

Again, watching a US President grovel before a foreign leader is not, in itself, newsworthy; the fact that it's not an Israeli is.

Time will tell. I've been around for a long time and know not to jump off the cliff one way or the other right off the bat or in a knee jerk reaction. If relations improve, he did a good job. If they get worse, he didn't. It is all quite simple if one withdraws all the partisan politics away from it.

No one knows how these things will work out. Now we will over time. Now I'll just sit back and watch the war of words fly. My advice, check back in six months to a year.

Come on. This is the USA and we need to be at least SLIGHTLY awake and interested in our nation.

Russia attacked our democracy. Trump has not done ONE SINGLE THING to defend our nation.

Now, he states that he rejects EVERY US intelligence agency and believes Putin!!!

This is not some "I wonder how it will turn out" thing. We KNOW how it will turn out.

Trump just gave the green light on attacking America!

When I see this: Among Republicans, 71 percent approved of his handling of Russia compared to 14 percent of Democrats. That tells me this is purely a partisan thing. If one doesn't hate or love Trump, sitting back letting time tell seems sensible to me. I remember when it came to foreign policy were both parties were pretty much on the same sheet of music. Not anymore. Even foreign policy has become become an item where each party now tries to utilize it to their party's advantage.

It's this polarized atmosphere where each party views the other as out to destroy America, where each party hates the other. It's that atmosphere that will lead to this nation's destruction more than Russia, Iran, North Korea or anything else.

When the good of the political parties overtakes the good for and of the nation, our goose is cooked. What I see is one party wants to destroy Trump and don't care what else they destroy in the process while the other party wants to keep him regardless of what that destroys. This want, need for destruction may very well lead to the destruction of this nation.

    You are dead blind!

Trump has consistently sided with Russia against our own intel agencies as well as our European allies.

Trump has made NOT ONE MOVE to defend our democracy against that attacks of Russia.

You can NOT call that some sort of partisan disagreement.

EVERY American needs to WAKE UP!

Maybe I would be more open to listen if the Democrats hadn't set out to destroy Trump the day after the election. Some would classify all of this as sour grapes for Hillary's loss. I detested both Trump and Clinton and voted against both by voting third party. Way back then, even before the year turned to 2016 I realized that whomever won would leave this country in far worst shape than when whomever first entered office. The only sane choice was to vote against both.

Trump, he's done some things I was for, some I was against just like every other president in my life time has done. I'm not an anti-Trumper or a pro-Trumper. I'm just a person who hopes this nation can survive the choices both major parties gave us in 2016. Trump could have been easily avoided if the other side had offered up a decent candidate. Now we pay the price for the decisions, actions, choices made by the two major party's back in 2016.

The two major parties brought all of this on themselves and sadly, on America as a whole. As for Russia, just like the Iran deal under Obama, time will tell. I'm way too old to get all hyper about these things especially when no one knows how they will work out. Trump is an obnoxious, egotistical, uncouth oaf of a president, no doubt. But this is exactly what the two major parties wanted back in 2016 by each's choice of the lowest of the lowest dregs of the barrel, the least liked and least wanted as presidential candidates going back to FDR when Gallup and Pew Research started keeping track of these things.

You guys gave us these choices, so now we live with those choices.

Trump wants to improve US-Russia relations. You don't do this by calling Putin out in public.

    My question is WHY?

If someone steals your wallet, rapes your daughter and punches you, I personally would do far more than "Call Him Out".

By being weak? By kissing his ass? By lying? He said that he asked putin about interfering in our election and he believed him...now he says he doesn’t? Wow..I remember when he said his base would defend him if he shot someone on fifth Avenue and obviously it’s true

Well at least we haven’t spent months trying to prove that Trump wasn’t born in America. That would be so much more important than Russia electing a man through cyber war who is incompetent

Here's what's interesting here. Trump presumably wants to improve relations with Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, China, Korea, France, all those 'shithole' African nations, Haiti, etc. He certainly does not see his 'calliing out of their leaders, people, cultures, and political institutions as interfering with improved relations or negotiations . They are supposed to see what comes out of his mouth as constructive criticism and supporters of Trump go out of their way to say these 'frank' remarks as Trumps way of negotiating improvements. Only Putin is special and above reproach. And only on this occasion, with this specific leader , is total ass-kissing the smart and pragmatic approach to international relationships.

    Something is very odd here.

Hillary lost due to her laziness, inept campaign strategy, peeving off Sanders voters, running a ho hum campaign. Explain to me why anyone running for the presidency would let her opponent from 1 Sep through 8 Nov 2016 both out work and out campaign her by a 116 campaign visits/stops to 71. That 71 campaign visits/stops looks bigger than it is as it included fund raisers in deep blue California and New York. Throw in the fact Trump never took a day off the campaign trail while Hillary took several.

I can guarantee you that no other Democrat presidential candidate would concede to being out worked and out campaigned that that much. Pure laziness on Hillary's part. Maybe she thought she didn't have to work to get elected, that it would be handed to her on a silver platter. I haven't even addressed her weak and inept campaign strategy, her ignoring her own backyard, the so called blue wall states.

Hillary lost because she refused to work at getting elected. Pure and simple.

There is NO reason to ignore the FACT that Russia attacked our democracy.

And, Trump has done not one thing about that.

Now, he has even stated that our full range of intelligence agencies are crap!

There is NOT justification for what he's done.

You left out Russian interference like them telling Bernie supporters to,stay at home. Even Trump admits Russia interfered in our election and Putin admitted that he wanted Trump to be the president. I guess you think this is a totally fair election.
