Good post. Many good examples. I'd like to add another. In Saudi Arabia and some other Muslim countries, women can't leave home without a male escort. In addition to all the items you noted above, Muslim women's lives are pretty drab. I'd have to agree, while all religions are sexist, Islam is currently the worst.
The worst of the well known ones, while there are thousands of religions, there may be one or two, that are worse. The Prophet said, "Isn't the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The women said, "Yes." He said, "This is because of the deficiency of a woman's mind."

Islamic and Bhuddist cultures tend to be sexist societies. Not sure if it is to do with their religions expressly. I suspect African Christians are also very sexist. Spanish Catholics are. Women got the vote in Spain in 1975. Islamic fundamentalist Iranian women had it before Spanish Catholic women. So, Catholic, Muslims and Bhuddist girls. I'm British. This is a matriarchy. "Lady's first". Look me up some time.
I'm a woman and I don't think women should have the right to vote. Too much emotionalism, cattiness, and misplaced maternal instinct are driving too much of the female vote and it's doing societies harm. The Queen of England is a fine example - she's applauding the ethnic and cultural destruction of England with a smile. Aside from that, I don't know about Buddhism but I know plenty about Islam. Muhammad married a 6 year old girl and deflowered her at 9, had many wives, possessed and traded in slaves and stated that it was OK to have sex with one's slave ("those your right hands possess" in the Quran), had sex with war captives ("those your right hands possess"), said the testimony of 2 women equaled that of one man, etc. Not comparable to Paul's epistles.
All your religions are written by men, and are sexist, however Islam is far more than any I can think of.

I am going to add a comment about Sexism, Racism or any other "ism". As to Islam being based on sexism, such opinions are based solely upon the perception of the person of whom you are inquiring. The response that will be given is based solely upon what he or she perceives as sexism, of course such is based upon the acculturation of the person. This is not to say that some who claim Islam do not treat females according to what the observer perceives as non-congruent with their own cultural practices. I am simply pointing out that opinions are solely based upon the perceptions of the observer. This also applies to racism, and all of the other "isms" currently in existence.
That answer also applies to thievery, murder, child molesting, and just about any accusation you can think of.

Then why are 60% of all new converts to this religion both in the USA and Europe are women? If Christianity is so good in this regard, why are they so far behind in conversions???
