Technically.... Mrs. Marilyn Braxton and her husband Pastor Dean Braxton are from a different denomination of Christianity than I am a part of ..... or can even begin to understand...... (they would both get along great with my wife though who has similar spiritual gifts to what they obviously have)!

I FEEL CONVICTED THAT ALL OF US ACROSS DENOMINATION DIVISIONS SHOULD GIVE FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR, MORE CREDIT TO MRS. MARILYN BRAXTON FOR THE WAY THAT SHE PRAYED..... AND.... her husband Mr. Dean Braxton came back from the dead after flatlining for an hour and forty five minutes!!!!!

I strongly suspect that professions Christian theologians are scared to give Mrs. Marilyn Braxton credit because........ there is a possibility that some of the members of their congregation might investigate the type of church that Mrs. Marilyn Braxton and her husband attends..... and tithes and offerings to their own denomination might decrease over the coming months and years!!!!!!!!!????

Are the concerns OVER TITHES AND OFFERINGS preventing Christians from coming together over what sure looks to me like miracles that can be compared with some of the miracles of the time of John the Baptist and Messiah Yeshua - Jesus!

Merely 40,034 views in seven years on this brilliant lecture by former Atheist and near death experiencer Howard Storm!

Why so few views on such an off the scale insightful and encouraging explanation for what all Christians are being taught in this life?

The Near Death Experience of Howard Storm: Part IV-Reflections of a Life in Christ

Do professional Christian theologians not grasp the many connections between what was shown to near death experiencer Howard Storm with what was predicted by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and the minor prophets?

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Hmm.....you said "Mr. Dean Braxton came back from the dead after flatlining for an hour and forty five minutes!!!!!"
Do you have any independant (non-religious) links for this? I'd be interested.

Good question. This is an excellent point and I think that I also should get his books and research all of this even further.

CBN researched Mr. Dean Braxton and his physicians for nearly five years before they did the video segment about him because yes......... if they were to promote something fake..... there are potential negative consequences. I am thinking that his wife and the specific methods that she uses in prayer.... could well be a potentially even more important subject to look into!

If I remember correctly I believe that there are documents in one of his books verifying that he indeed did flatline for nearly two hours.

(Please notice where his doctor uses the phrase.... "really, really dead") ... I think that that is significant!

For the record I am looking at this book that I picked up for a couple of bucks at a used book store this summer.

There is quite a controversy over this book and the most likely angle on what really happened... in my opinion..... is that .......
the dad, Mr. Kevin Malarkey was less than generous with the proceeds from the book that sold over a million copies.......

mom got angry at Mr. Kevin Malarkey for NOT being generous with the proceeds from the book... .so mom
got a bunch of professional theologians who believed firmly in Soul Sleep to convince the poor kid that
he must have been in error in what he told everybody near the time of his experience.........

and the goal is to STOP the flow of money to Mr. Kevin Malarkey.......!

‘The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven’ now wants his day in court

All of this is one of the possible rather legitimate reasons why professional Christian theologians are somewhat scared to come out and speak regarding such cases as that of Mr. Dean Braxton, little Mr. Colton Burpo or Mr. Alex Malarkey...... (who in my opinion was probably telling the truth near the time of his NDE and later on retracted his true testimony due to what the professional Soul Sleep believing theologians told him after his mom got them to heckle and bombard the poor kid with the idea that he was contradicting the Bible)!?

"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5)

"His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." (Psalms 146:4)

The idea of Soul Sleep got me up out of my Atheism in 1972 and 1973 but...... by 1990 I came to understand that the Soul Sleep doctrine was terribly misguided!

    You said:
"documents in one of his books verifying that he indeed did flatline for nearly two hours"

So it appears that there is no independant verification for this claim, which would be a miracle given that few people survive beyond a few minutes. You know what they say, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof...and there is none.

Mr. Dean Braxton's doctor is relatively independent and he was taking a major risk when he made the statement that Mr. Dean Braxton ..... "he was really really dead..... for a long time" (Dr. Manuel Irrigi), (pardon my spelling)....

That is after the 5:40 minute mark here:

The Medical Records PROVE I Died
    Happy Father's Day!

I don't have to prove I died, the medical records did that! That's I discuss in this video. Go to www.deanbraxton.com for more information about the ministry and how we share the story of how I died for 1 hour and 45 minutes according to medical records!

Man, you'd be a sucker for a used-car salesman, wouldn't you? 'Got a nice little motor here, mate, twenny fousand miles, good runner, one genuine owner, no dents, five grand and it's your's.....'
Yeah, right. You'd better take an atheist along next time, and remember to ask for a test drive.

Really, do you believe anything you read?!?

Or... could it be that an influential and tiny segment of the population of the world believe firmly that the Skepticism of Richard Dawkins Ph. d. is necessary for them to maintain control of the economy, and entertainment..... and industry... and BigPharma..... and both sides of government in the USA alone not to mention the rest of the world?????

    Think about it.....

I don't have time to watch the whole thing but when someone dies in the hospital, they don't keep them in the emergency room for an hour and 45 minutes. There must have been other signs that he was still live like his brain waves. So, they kept working on him. What say you?

I thought it was cool that he saw his ancestors that had accepted Christ. I wonder if his work in the Temple has been done. I bet it has been and not by him but someone else.

Actually my brother nearly died about a month ago and he was in the Emergency Room for several hours........ before he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. One of the reasons why they kept working on Mr. Dean Braxton may have been that they knew his wife because she was a health care worker... .who may even have worked at that very hospital.

Your question about work in the Temple is fascinating because I had two one hour plus exceptionally positive discussions with Latter day Saint missionaries over these past two weeks and I am a firm believer that Latter day Saints getting baptized on behalf of the dead..... truly can alter what is going on the higher invisible dimensions for our ancestors. This is profoundly encouraging and inspiring information. Here is a webpage about the near death experience of Latter day Saints that is on a non LDS webpage:

From what I have heard from Mr. Dean Braxton and his wife they both seem like Pentecostals who probably have quite a few Latter day Saint friends that they fellowship with a lot.... .so yes...... their LDS friends would tend to be doing Temple work for their ancestors.

Dean Braxton stated that he has been invited to pretty well every church from all denominations except Seventh Day Adventists or Jehovah's Witnesses who have adopted a dogmatic Soul Sleep doctrine.... so... .that means that he and his wife have been invited to LDS wards or temples. He even got invited by some groups of witches and went to speak with them as well.

Hospital workers don't let bodies lie around that they think might come back to life because of the wife for any reasons and keep working on them. There had to be some sort of sign to hook him up to life support. In these stories, there usually are missing elements like brain waves are continuing strong. I know people also with near-death experiences as well. Each seems to be for the person's benefit. What we need to do as Latter-day Saints is to do what is necessary to strengthen our own personal testimonies and help those around us to receive their own testimonies. Not by miracles but by the prescribed methods given to us by the mouths of prophets, seers and revelators (apostles as well). James chapter 1 and Moroni the latter chapters teach how to know if God lives, Jesus is the Christ, the Holy Ghost bears witness of the truth and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only place that you will find the authority to seal what's on earth to that which will be in heaven.

Back in 1988 I looked at the world in a very similar manner to what you express Cougarbear but I was really wrapped up in the Worldwide Church of God at that time.

I separated from the Worldwide Church of God by 1991 once I realized that we were way off when it comes to our beliefs on Soul Sleep.

Since 1991 I church hopped and since 2001 I attended any church that my wife wanted to go to.... which is usually Pentecostal.

I feel that Latter day Saints are all set up to fulfill a prediction by the gifted Pentecostal Mark Taylor and many former LDS missionaries are well qualified by their missionary work to become journalists in various areas of Canada and the USA and the whole world.
