    Oh he did, that's why he went to prison, remember? As for murdering his wife he got off at court so must be regarded as innocent but that was a certifiable crime, what were Bush/Blair guilty off? Liberating Iraq? Better put FDR/Churchill in the dock with them.

    Wilson wasn't crippled until after Versailles. So just because Churchill played nice we should? We take our orders from England? I think not...

    Before he could get the LofN up and running. FDR practiced realpolitik as did Britain.

    Is it important for politicians to have military/combat experience?
    I think it is helpful, but not crucial. It does give the politician a much better understanding of war & its implications for those individuals involved &/or the locales where that conflict ensues. I also think it makes getting into lethal conflicts less likely.
