Is the criminal justice system racist against African Americans?

You remember the period well, and really, every point you recall is consistent with my memory, too. But, I do remember that although we in the two factions of the day had very heated discussions with each other, often with lots of marching, demonstrating, yelling and screaming, we didn't hate each other's guts down 'to the molecular level'.

Our debates at that time concerned the legitimacy of the Vietnam War, and the legitimacy of racial segregation. Both were indefensible, and really, both sides knew it.

Today, it's much more complicated, because now we have two factions fighting over two entirely different visions of what the United States of America itself should even BE. One side adheres to the Constitution as written and amended, and a capitalist economic system, based on individualism, free-will, initiative, and work-and-reward principles that have existed nearly everywhere since the beginning of civilization.

The other side wants to throw over the existing order and replace it with a form of neo-Socialism, in which an already over-centralized Federal Government becomes even more powerful and the laws of the country mutate constantly, according to the political whims of an 'activist' judiciary. They want redistribution of wealth based on -- nothing. Everyone should aspire to, and receive, subsistence welfare handouts from the government without doing anything to earn it.

To put it simply, I don't see those two 'dogs' coexisting peacefully in the same 'yard'... because it's not about a foreign war, or whether or not someone can use a public bathroom -- it's about who and WHAT we are as a nation.

 

The easiest route to power is by pandering to the worst aspects of human nature. In this aspect, laziness.

 

If you doubt that the criminal justice system is slanted against Black people, just look at what happened in Kenosha a few days ago.
A 17 year old White male walked down the street with a long gun after killing 2 people and wounding another. He wasn't even arrested at that time, he turned himself in the next day.
How many think a Black man could have done the same thing and lived?
(Remember when Tamir Rice, the 12 year old Black boy in Cleveland, Ohio was killed for playing with a toy gun?)

 

Both the right thing to do, the Kenosha shooter was in self defence and Tamir Rice was an idiot who got himself killed.

 

The Kenosha shooter is a domestic terrorist. The policemen who shot Tamir Rice is a child killer. The man who killed Tamir got off scotfree. Hopefully, the Kenosha shooter will be convinced for his crime.

You've misrepresented the matter. It was in the midst of a riot, and the Police vehicles were bypassing it all. It was surprising though, most probably for the teen with the rifle because it looked like he was trying to surrender to the authorities for his own safety from the violent rioters.

 

That blacks murder blacks at a rate five to six times higher than whites murder whites is not representative of systemic bias, but of black propensity towards violence. More proof that blacks are far more violent is that they murder whites as fifteen times the rate that whites murder blacks per capita. This is why LEO's in the line of duty have to kill twice as many blacks as whites per capita. None of it has to do with systemic racism, and everything to do with criminal behavior of blacks. They are simply far more violent. It's a lie to say blacks are discriminated against or somehow victimized by society and the justice system. In fact, blacks are the victimizers of society and of themselves. If blacks are over represented in anything, it is in the stead of righteousness. It is an utter absurdity to call them innocent victims in general. They are not. It is a con.

 

The Kenosha shooter was a law abiding person who risked his life to protect private property against rioting mobs, was attacked and legally defended himself. The police officer was forced to kill this stupid idiot who modified his toy pistol to make it look real, pointed it at random members of the public and then drew it on the officers when they turned up to investigate. *******n this MORON for getting himself killed and forcing this poor officer to make this dreadful decision. Neither he nor the Kenosha shooter did anything wrong.

 

Actually....it's much more likely he's at that teenage stage in life where they think they are invincible...
and he thinks those first-person shooter video games he enjoys so much might be fun in real life.

17 year olds aren't considered adults for very good reasons...instead of pretending he's a hero, get him some adult supervision

The American judicial system is only racially biased against straight white males, as they are the only creatures in America that do not get any special protections under the law...
