It has been totally debunked by the rare CIA public statement and also the State Department. Itbeas the Obama administration that was withdrawing the asset because the MSM had printed information putting the asset in jeopardy. Foreign leaders routinely have private conversations your attempt to divert notwithstanding.

I am a conservative, and a strong believer in conservative principles. Trump is not a conservative. He is actually a liberal. A liberal distorts the meaning of our Constitution, and a liberal supports protectionist tariffs. True conservatives support free trade, strongly oppose tariffs, and a strict interpretation of our Constitution.

Townhall and Fox desperately support Trump often by omission or distortion of events.

    Naturally.

    Nope.

Of course, that was expected from Ms. Haspel and Mike.

These are the real issues Trump's fans are desperately trying to avoid.

Is Trump doing exactly what Putin wants him to do? That is a very good question considering the fact that the White House has been shackled during the 2 1/2 years Trump has sat in the Oval Office. Despite his party having control of both the House and Senate for the first two years of his Presidency, Trump has accomplished little or nothing.

He is the least popular President in modern American history, his staff has an historical turnover rate and is now filled with sycophants, and there are even questions about his mental stability.

Trump's close ties with Netanyahu while unilaterally proclaiming Jerusalem the capital of Israel has removed the U.S. from Middle East talks because the Arab republics do not trust him. Neither do Great Britain or France because Trump is unpredictable and unreliable. The U.S. has been replaced by Russia.

Trump removed the U.S. from the Paris Accord to which there are 197 signatories. Under Trump, the U.S. joins with the major emitters led by Russia.

Because it was signed during the Obama administration, Trump removed the U.S. from the JCPOA which permanently barred Iran from making a nuke. He has been urging the Iranian leaders to agree to talks for a new agreement that permanently bars Iran from making a nuke. In the meantime, Iran has followed Trump's example and is in violation of the JCPOA. Our allies are trying desperately to save the agreement. Trump is opposing our allies' intentions.

Trump has removed the U.S. from lucrative trade agreements, TPP, NAFTA, and has not signed one major trade agreement in 2 1/2 years.

Much to Putin's delight, Trump has weakened NATO with his constant jabs at our NATO partners. The recent G-7 conference went nearly as bad as last year's G-7 conference and there was no common statement of cooperation.

Trump has threaten the vibrant American economy. Because of his trade war with China, even he is concerned about a possible recession as consumer confidence is dropping along with the manufacturing index. Trump's harsh tariffs cause inflation, and inflation causes recession. To illustrate all of this, the stock market has been treading water since January 2018. On Jan. 29, 2018, the Dow stood at 26,439. Right now the Dow is at 26,798. It has been below Jan. 2018 figure for most of August due to Trump's tweets.

Questions about Trump's mental acuity have surfaced recently. Last Sunday, using a five day old NWS in predicting Dorian's path Trump declared that Alabama "will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated." On Saturday everyone not named Trump knew Dorian was going to turn north, missing Alabama by hundreds of miles. For a solid week Trump insisted that his faulty weather forecast was accurate.

When that died out, on Saturday Trump said he cancelled a Sunday meeting at Camp David with the Taliban leaders and the Afghan president. Since the Taliban declined to meet and the Afghan president followed suit, serious doubts emerged that any such meeting was scheduled for Sunday, although the headline seeking Trump wanted such a meeting.

Is Trump doing exactly what Putin wants him to do? The reader can decide.

With respect to the first part of your sentence, you should review the post you responded to.

With respect to the second half of your sentence, I could not agree more.

Of course, this is in line with Putin's goals. By strongly supporting Natanyahu, Trump is no longer trusted by the Arab republics. By giving away concessions to Israel, Trump has angered our allies.

Putin wants Russia to have a larger role in the Middle East, and Russia has a huge naval base in Syria. So, what Trump is doing fits nicely with Putin's plans.

Why not it's a phony story?

First, because it is not a phony story if only obscure Trump friendly sources say it is.

Second, because I am waiting for you and other Trump supporters take up the issues in post 78.

Two of you have taken up a phony issue to avoid the important issues. It is a common tactic by Trump's fans.

No it's a phony story and even the NYT and WaPo say so and even the CIA took to extremely rare step of a public denouncing. There is no evidence to support it.

So when are you going to withdraw it and your attempts to divert and dodge and change the subject will of course be ignored.

    Ball in your court.

Would someone please inform the left that Russia (no longer communist) is no longer our enemy and does not warrant concern. The major threat the US faces is today is from China (Communist) and they are working tirelessly to displace the US in both economic and military terms.
If you ever witness a mushroom cloud on the horizon I can promise you it will be Chinese, and not Russian.

So, what is the weather like this time of the year in Moscow? I would expect a Russian to say that . In fact, Putin has said that.

The Russian government is no longer communist, but the communist party is alive and well in Russia.

Putin is communist. That is why he is described as the communist dictator of Russia. Putin is a former colonel in the KGB.

Trump forced Iran into a corner and Iran has struck back. The communist dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin, was pleased with Trump's decision.

Signed during the Obama administration, the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) permanently barred Iran from making a nuclear bomb. In May 2018, Trump removed the U.S. from the JCPOA and reimposed the harsh sanctions that stuck a dagger into the heart of the Iranian economy. Iran’s economy came under unprecedented pressure thanks to the reimposed sanctions, especially oil sanctions, with negative 1.5 percent growth in 2018 and an expected negative 3.6 percent growth in 2019.

Iran has bombed and seized oil tankers. While technically a member of the JCPOA, she has resumed her nuclear research in earnest. She has exceeded the amount of processed uranium. She has exceeded the level of uranium enrichment. She has shot down a very expensive American UAV that was spying on Iranian military bases.

"ANKARA (Reuters) - The leaders of Turkey, Russia and Iran meeting in Ankara on Monday agreed to try to ease tensions in northwest Syria’s Idlib region."

Helsinki, Finland, July 16, 2018, Trump, in a stunning rebuke of the US intelligence community, declined to endorse the US government's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 Presidential election, saying he doesn't "see any reason why" Russia would be responsible.

Instead, Trump -- standing alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin -- touted Putin's vigorous denial and pivoted to complaining about the Democratic National Committee's server and missing emails from Hillary Clinton's personal account.

"I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today," Trump said during a joint news conference after he spent about two hours in a room alone with Putin.

We still have no idea what was said during those two hours. Why?

Meeting alone with the Russia leader was unprecedented, unwise, and totally unexplained.

Putin knows what they talked about and so do Putin's closest advisors. American intelligence and National Security Council do not know.

If Putin wants Trump to prevent the US's social safety nets from buckling under the weight of all the worlds poor, then I hope Trump does as Putin commands.

If Putin wants Trump to stand up for America in the global marketplace so we can compete fairly, then I hope Trump does as Putin commands.

Though I don't see why Putin would want any of that...

Never been to Russia. Do you realize the communist party is probably bigger in the US than it is in Russia? Nearly every liberal in this country is a closet communist. George Bush was head of CIA. It is common for people from intelligence agencies to rise to leaders.
The fact is we have little to fear from Russia, and everything to fear from China. That is the facts and if you do not realize that, you need to do some actual research on the subject instead of confusing your prejudicial opinions for reality.

Yes, I do not think most realize it, but their base philosophy of government rule and wealth redistribution along with their disdain for the rights of the individual are making the US more of a Communist State than a free Constitutional Republic.

Reagan was a "leftist." Who knew? What was happening was that rightwing neo-con authoritarianism in the WH went nutso.
