Female Marines are all black? My daughter-in-law Marine is not.

Yep the same I know what being kicked in the balls feels.
You really believe that you see the world through a woman’s eyes better than I do? LOL

While some people struggle to keep racism and sexism alive to excuse their failures and make themselves feel relevant, people like you and I are the non-racist and non-sexist future.

I see the world as it is, not like it used to be. And I take responsibility for my own failures. If I fail, I don't look to blame white people or men, I look to see what I should have done better.

The people trying to keep racism and sexism alive are mostly older folks, and they can't live forever.

That different people have different experiences does not necessarily mean that the supposed 'white privilege' had anything to do with either person's experience.

The fact that a great number of people feel a need to identify other people by skin tone (or other various physical characteristics) and therefore lump them into a category of the desginators making, does not mean they have to abide.

Spending more time with people of various backgrounds, regardless of skin tone, will teach you that such labels are ridiculous.

That can be read two ways. If you mean the people who harbor those prejudices, I agree. If you mean the people who detect those prejudices in others, well I don't know....

I'm talking about the people who imagine, exaggerate, fabricate, and promote those prejudices to excuse their own failures and/or make themselves feel relevant.

It's like creating a monster in your head, and then telling yourself you're saving the world by slaying it.

Those of us who live and work in the real world know differently. Success is not defined by sex or race.

Well I'm an older folk but I see a lot of it coming from the younger generations who have been fed this pablum by the left.

You think you know about "white male privilege" more than I do? It is certainly not a privilege to be kicked in the balls.

I certainly didn't mean all older folks. And yes, there are some brainwashed loser younger folks drinking the koolaid and looking for someone to blame for their failures, but I think they'll fade away when they don't have the old race hustlers and sexism hustlers pandering to them any longer. What they need is a kick in the butt from those of us who've taken responsibility for our choices and succeeded and can vouch for hard work and personal responsibility.

Since "White Male Privilege" only exists in the Wonderlands of Lala Land, I am pretty sure it would be a fair to say they do know more about it than you. :D

Right, cause of the whiteness and how that privilege shielded her from harassment.

I am being facetious, don't mind me. This is the ideas that people who prescribe to intersectionality and the idea of "white privilege" believe never happens to white people. Like when they think only black people are killed by cops, even though statistically white men have a far great chance of being killed during their interaction with police than anyone else.

Yes, that's the point! We should demonize a group! This entire thread is about white privilege, which you've already agreed exists, and therefore shouldn't have any problem with that. There isn't any black and brown privilege. Privilege rests on one entitled group, White people, whether it's a white male cop arresting teens because of the color of their skin, or a white woman calling on her cellphone for a cop because she doesn't like the way POC barbecue.

Until society come come to terms with where the real problem lies, white privilege, we can't solve any problems and you can't be a good ally until you accept that.

How do they not abide? When people lump you and view you with suspicion there is nothing you can do. What should they do throw their arms up in the air?

You mean like you do to other posters? Just as I have had to explain to you, that labels only work for those who don't care to actually get to know the individual they are dealing with.

The same applies in real life. If the person who is labeling and slotting will have any continuing involvement in your life, you let them see that you are not part of their label. If they don't accept it, then you minimize interaction, and move forward. If there is not future interaction on the horizon, you smile and walk away. You don't need to get up in everyone's face, take offense, and try and educate people who aren't willing to learn in the first place.

You should have told that to Martin Luther king and Gloria Steinem .
I don’t care about educating people who aren’t willing to learn unless it affects my own personal life

    I beg to disagree.
People who whine racism tend to be lazy youth. Can’t get a job that pays $50k without education, that means everyone is racist.
