That’s the problem with righties...they can’t empathize with others less fortunate . Such a wonderful example of the mantra, “I’ve got mine , the hell with you “

Are you avoiding the intersectional reality you yourself are part of? Or maybe it just is that your pseudo-intellectual frameworks only applies to others and not to you because you are a good person.

You do not belong to the "less fortunate".

Then I will use the same stupid argument for people who are against women’s abortion . You don’t belong to the “women’s uterus set”:afro:
I don’t belong to the less fortunate and part of the reason is I didn’t sit on my ass and just whine. I took action.
Funny how you see people who are “good people” as pseudo intellects. That’s one thing I would never call you..an intellect of any kind

First of all, "women's abortion" is a tautology. The prefix is redundant. Secondly, Feminists are already using that argument in the debate.

You are starting to sound like a right wing extremist. Are you suggesting the poor are lazy? ;)

That is not what I said.

Given that SPLC considers almost any group that disgrees with them about almost anything a hate group that's an incredibly meaningless designation.

I guess I have to use tautology because men think abortion for women is their right to decide
How am I suggesting the poor are lazy?

Do you even know what the term means? If you did you would realize that what I did was the total opposite of victim shaming. You just have victim envy

    What you said:

"I don’t belong to the less fortunate and part of the reason is I didn’t sit on my ass and just whine. I took action. "

So people who are less fortunate just sat on their ass...unlike you?

    Victim Shaming.

And a lot of that is due to education, not privilege.

100% true, AA is basically telling a class of people you are too __*__ to succeed so you need my help.

    * Fill line with todays latest excuse as to why minorities cannot make it without others helping them.

Personally if someone walked up to me and stated I'm too _____ to make it you need my help they would probably get a kick in the crouch and a pat on the back, after which I would answer back, thanks, but no thanks.

Duh....Who said that they don’t get off their asses? I was talking about the right wingers here who whine about white males suppression. Yes I did not belong to the more fortunate groups.Do you think all the followers of Martin Luther King just sat on their asses? They now have opportunities that they didn’t have before.

I spend a lot of time sitting on my butt making real good money keeping people communicating.

It's an easy job, but someone has to do it.

So when I could not apply to Harvard , Yale etc and only males could , were they being told they are too stupid to succeed ? They didn’t have to compete with more than half the population So are you basically saying that males applying to the New York cities colleges who needed a lower average than females were needing help? Are you saying that all those males that women and blacks who had to give up their seats to were stupid?
My daughter took an SAT tutoring course and her score went up 150 points. My students couldn’t afford to take a course like that. Did that make my daughter smarter than she was before she took the training? Are you saying that because women and minorities or given special consideration that they are not competent? I recently heard Colin Powell saying that if it had not been for affirmative action he never would have gotten where he is.

I have run into true racism though it was a couple of decades back, I was getting ready to enter a 7-11 and as I approached the door an elderly black lady was getting ready to exit with her hands full, I opened the door and she gave me a really strange look, I indicated for her to go through the door and commented good looking ladies first, she smiled and went to her car.

I grabbed a six pack out of the cooler placed it on the counter and was advised by the guy behind the counter "get the eff out of here, we don't open doors for n-----s in this town."

I looked at the guy and asked "your not going to sell me this product because I opened the door for someone?"

His reply was "no you opened the door for a n------r, now get out of here before I call the cops."

I politely requested he call the cops because I was going to file a complaint with corporate and would like a police report to backup my complaint, he lost it began screaming some vile words, rang up the beer and after I got a receipt and went to my hotel room.

When I got back home I sent a letter to corporate and it hit the fan, I received a call from the company, if I remember correctly it was Southland, and it was made clear to me the district manager investigated my complaint and the counterman's employment was terminated.

Its not a myth. Look at bank lending for home loans as just one example.

    point in case.

Black women wants a home loan. Has a long term stable well paying job. Fantastic credit rating. Calls for a home loan, and after weeks and weeks of mailing documents back and forth is denied.

Her partner, who was a white woman. unemployed. History of low paying jobs. Terrible credit. She was approved for the same home loan in about 15 minutes via the telephone.

This example actually made it to the senate floor. This is just one example out of the hundreds of thousands.

SO, I consider people who "point it out" as you put it, one of two things.

    a.) a racist.
    b.) an ignorant moron.

    There is no third alternative.

I probably wouldn't say that, he might think I'm hitting up on him, but if he or anyone has their hands full, I will gladly open the door, that's common courtesy, which my parents hammered into me as a child.

And out here it is SOP.
