O k buy you are the one who wrote "Let's talk about TODAY" after creating a thread in Latest News that contained a link to May 2018 referring to a letter "Written anonymously by a retired educator in Florida". So why should he, when you didn't

No, it's impossible to teach about religions without major bias, and anyway, it doesn't solve the problem that you would have to teach about some religions and not about other. Teach the kid to read and do research by their own, so if they want to learn about a religion, they could do themselves.

    Nonsense

You may have a low opinion of muslims and think they will be easy to dispose of after defeating Christians

But godless lib hate toward all people of faith has no limits

And its not part of some phony attempt at diversity

    From the original news story:

"According to a district spokesperson, the information is not part of the school's curriculum, and the sheets are handled by the school's PTA."

"Off-camera, multiple members of the school's PTA emphasized the content is aimed at parents, not students."

I agree. I would be right at the front with anyone fighting the preaching of any religion in a public school. However, hiding the fact that religions exist and are linked to much of human history is white-washing.

In order to be educated about history and culture, we have to be exposed to it. Hiding our children from huge chunks of history and culture by banning it from schools is how we perpetuate ignorance.

The first article points out that Christianity is being forced on students and the second article points out that some parents don't understand that what's being taught is all about critical thinking skills.

I noticed that the CBN article uses a very misleading claim in the headline. "Islam Instruction" is borderline false. Why would they lie or mislead readers?

Absolutely. There is a fine line between religion and mythology.
At one time people worshiped the gods Jupiter Odin and Zeus, now they are all mythology. Won't be too long before Christianity joins them.

I'm a liberal Democrat who believes in the freedom of religion guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. I don't care what religion you profess; nor do I wish for you to become an atheist. So. . .
    1. You're totally wrong. Most liberal Democrats I've know in my life have been Christian, with a smattering of other belief systems, including atheism & agnosticism. Liberal Democrats cover the whole spectrum of beliefs, as they should. Your post is wrong.
    2. How so? What makes you say such an absurd thing? Actually, true Christians--that is Christians with a heart, with compassion for others--make the best liberals, because liberals always focus on what makes all of us healthier & happier in our individual lives and as a society.
    3. Pure BS--Total nonsense. First (as stated above) most liberals in America are Christians. Second, few liberals are atheists or Godless. Thirdly, most liberals abhor violence, and Islam is the most violent of the world's major religions. No liberal I know personally would ever consider promoting Islam over Christianity, or Islam for its own sake.

I don't know where or how you reached the tragically wrong state of mind you seem to be in, but your conclusions as posted are in total opposition to the truth. I not only feel sorry for you--being in such a dark mental state--but sorry for anyone who reads your posts & falls victim to believing it is true. :(

My mistake. I meant to say teach about religion not teach religion.

You can't teach history without teaching about religion.
