Recently media have repeatedly written about how tense relations are currently between Warsaw and Tel Aviv. The real scandal erupted last year when Duda approved the law on the Institute of National Remembrance. Thus, criminal liability was introduced for the “public and baseless” accusation of the Polish people of involvement in the crimes of Nazi Germany in Poland.

At least the fact that Israel seriously considered equating the aforementioned Polish law with the denial of the Holocaust speaks of serious passions.

Furthermore development of the scandalous history is planned for January 2020. As it became known, Israel plans to hold its own events on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

Israel plans to invite many world leaders, with Vladimir Putin already been invited. Israeli President Reuven Rivlin invited the Russian leader to "mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp by the Red Army."

In addition, he expressed his intention to fight racism and hatred and called Putin "a great ally in the fight against anti-Semitism."

It is easy to imagine what the Russian president will say on Israeli ground on the occasion of such a tragic anniversary. About rewriting the history of the Second World War, about the rehabilitation of Nazism. And the Israelis will support him and blame Poland, where the ruling party is shamelessly trying to whitewash local collaborators.

Is that why the Polish authorities began to fuss and suddenly want to invite Putin to the anniversary of the freedom of Auschwitz? The inconsistency of the position of Warsaw is striking. First of all, because five years ago no one called Putin to Auschwitz.

Russia now has every right to troll Poland. For example, to advise her to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, not with Putin, but with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. They themselves said that the Ukrainians (not Ukrainian front as it was) liberated the concentration camp!

Didn't the Russians control Poland after WW II? Didn't the Germans control Poland during WW II? Didn't both Russia and Germany turn their backs on Polish Jews during WW II? Didn't a majority of the Jews in Poland who survived WW II go to Israel and help fight for Israeli independence? Didn't the Soviet Union support the Arab states that tried to destroy Israel in two wars. Didn't Stalin harass Jews in his own country?
Relations between Russia and Israel have improved in recent years but not enough to erase history and place blame on the Poles.
