The gulf war, from my understanding, was a common offense, not any form of surgical strike.

 

It won't be all that "surgical".. It will destroy their oil infrastructure and kill tens of thousands of civilians as well.

For what?

The Israeli attacks on Syria and Iraq were against one story, above ground facilities.

 

That is not even historically accurate.

 

It involved coalition aircraft penetrating Iraqi air defenses and hitting individual targets including C&C centers, radar sites, Saddam's palaces etc. Either way, this seems to have gotten way off topic.

 

Where did you get your tens of thousands of civilian casualties from? Also, why would they target oil infrastructure? Secondly, they could launch multiple strikes at multiple targets and prioritize which ones are worth hitting.

 

The economic conditions of the States involved is also dissimilar.

Saudi Arabia has had an explosion in manufacturing since 2007.. adding 500,000 new jobs.

They are doing fine.. building more dasal plants, more dams, more hospitals and universities, more railroads and port facilities.

 

I meant instead of engaging in military conflict in the Middle East, which historically, has only resulted in higher fuel prices instead of better governance at lower cost, as should be expected from any US form of supply side economics.

 

They want to sell oil to the West.. We really don't have to do a thing except clean up our idiotic foreign policy and put some terms and conditions on our aid, loans and grants to Israel.

 

What happened to buying something instead of justifying stealing it?

We will have to buy it regardless why should we pay the criminal?

If it belongs to Iran...or Libya that people should have my payment!

I only agree with you to the extent higher fuel prices could be seen as a hidden form of tax that affects people with less wealth at their disposal, disproportionately.

 

Israel needs to go to the peace table.. get out of the occupied territories and make the hostility of Hamas and Hezbollah go away....

I don't want the US, EU and ME to pay for their stubborness and continued settlement expansion.

 

In my opinion, simply recognizing another State in historic Palestine should bring its own solutions.

 

What's tax to do with ANYTHING???
