(AKI) - Italian police on Thursday carried out raids across Italy amid a probe of neo-Nazi websites that had targeted a number of well-known figures including best-selling anti-mafia writer Roberto Saviano. The raids targeted 35 people accused of spreading racial and ethnic hatred and inciting acts of racially and ethnically based discrimination and violence via the Internet, according to police. Police said the investigation centred on a video entitled 'The hidden enemy - a documentary on the Jewish question' made by Italian members of the neo-Nazi Stormfront, an international body founded by Don Black, the former head of the US white supremacist movement the Ku Klux Klan. In April, a judge in Rome sentenced four Italian Stormfront members to several years of house arrest for inciting racial hatred on organsiation's website, targeting Jews and immigrants, advocating the supremacy of the white race and instigating Holocaust-denial. Italian police shut down Stormfront's website in November last year, after an investigation that began in October 2011. Police found Nazi-Fascist propaganda and memorabilia, as well as weapons including knives, daggers, a bayonet and various clubs during searches carried out across the country at the homes of 17 suspects in November's operation. I say its high time that governments start smashing the Stormfronters. I wonder which country will be next to kick them into their kennels?
As if the nazis pose any threat these days. Go for the leftist terrorists I say. Bloody 'anti-fascists' and revolutionary communists throwing rocks at people they disagree with every chance they get, putting of videos of assult on youtube, kidnapping, damaging property, intimidating political figures on the right. European governments have been working against nazism and fascism since the end of ww2 with great success, but they've pretty much ignored the autonomous left.
