    Russian gas is totally reliable. European rulers are sacrificing it's ppl because their egos could not accept russian entrepreneurs dominance over western society. Russia was way ahead of the game and murder was the case that western leaders resorted to.

    Of course we don't. We only gave the lives of 1/3 million of our youth and spent the next 50 years assisting in rebuilding Europe's economy, all the while paying for their defense against these same thugs. Well over $10T in the 50 year span. This doesn't include the somewhat lesser amounts and lives spent since 1990. During this entire span France has hardly been supportive, and Germany decided to patronage Russian oil in spite of warnings from Trump and is in many ways responsible for emboldening Russia to invade Ukraine in the first place. What horrible uncaring friends we are!

    My father, and I myself, spent the first 15 years of my life in Europe away from home right across the East German border staring at 2000 Russian tanks parked right along the border of our town every day on my way to school.

    And we are all having to cope with high energy prices, not just Europe. Place your blame with your enemies not your friends. I do agree Biden should start allowing the US to drill for oil again. That doesn't help. But that is because Biden is a Global Warming Nutjob idiot. Not because Americans aren't friends of the Europeans. You have a larger population than we do yet we are donating 4X the support to Ukraine. Hell, we are just happy you are finally pulling your own weight and at least providing for your own defense. And it is in your backyard not ours. A simple thank you would suffice.

    Germany was able to fight almost the entirety of WWII while being cut off from foreign oil sources by the Allies. Europeans need to embrace the power of coal energy before they all freeze to death this winter. Coal is your friend.

    The price of oil would have significantly increased anyway with or without the war. OPEC effectively set the price and it is a monopoly and more increases are in the pipeline.

    Higher energy prices? You mean tripled prices and going up. USA is no more an ally than Africa or Asia is to Europe. It all comes down to what we can offer eachother and USA has screwed Europe totally with this energy war in the Ukraine. USA started this war in order to change the energy map to make Europe dependent on USA. It's a totally self serving venture that encapsulates USA policy of consumerism.
