Iran wants a nuke. Nobody serious on this issue thinks the giant oil barrel is desperate for nuclear energy at the potential cost of being bombed into the stone age.

Every country that wants nukes will get nukes after AI becomes sufficiently advanced. Israel will be not only at the hands of Iran but every country in the middle east and beyond. The expectation is PhD level AI on EVERY topic about 2027. So, that would include PhD intelligence on nuclear engineering. By 2040, expect many small countries to have nukes including Iran, though Iran probably already has nukes and may have even tested them such as by using international waters. Its generally a fools errand to attempt to keep Iran from getting nukes at this point.

Of course if Israel is bombed rest assured they have at least some deep bunkers and deep silos with plenty of nukes left for a response, and that is why Israel won't be nuked. It wouldn't be remotely worth it for any Islamic country to nuke Israel, even if they could somehow avoid identification. So if Israel is nuked, it would even be questionable as to who would do that and why as their is no clear benefit to anyone to do that, as Israel would then be obligated to make a best guess as to who and why. That is why countries try to get a lot of satellites to monitor rocket launches.

From an ethics perspective, no country that has nukes has a moral position to remove nukes from another country or stop their development. That would essentially be a hostile cold war to attempt to dictate the weapons rights of foreign countries when those rights are set by their own populations at the moment through constitutions.

Agreed, if religious extremism led people to kill their enemies even at the cost of their own lives, we would have seen crazy things like people strapping bombs on themselves and then blowing everything up.

    …oh wait.

Here's a lying POS claiming just that over a decade ago. Just as much truth to this as the polar ice caps being gone a decade ago.

People need to wake up.....the zionists want to us the US (you) to do their dirty work of regional expansion. The jew version of Lebensraum.

And over 2 decades ago promoting the worst mistake since Vietnam:

The Middle East was largely peaceful prior to 1947. It only took the zionists 20 years to commit the first false flag against the US to try to drag us into war with Egypt (the USS Liberty). **** these *******s.

Irans nuclear program isn’t a weather event we are predicting that happens or doesn’t happen irrespective of anything being done.

To say, in other words, that because Iran does not have a nuke yet therefore they were never close to getting a nuke a long time ago when such analysis said so is a pretty bad fallacy.

    A.I. overview:

    • And that’s just what Israel has done. Deals with the US have helped delay things further—the criticism has always been that it was merely kicking the can down the road.

Well now Trump wants to kick the can even further—but to say therefore that Iran isn’t close and has never been close is, again, a bad fallacy

Iran is a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), which is binding international law. International law says that Iran doesn't have the right to develop nuclear weapons. Ethics has nothing to do with it.
