"It's Okay To Be White" flyers found on local university campus

Exactly there is no need to say it...and as you infer it is also known that it is part of the new white nationalists agenda to pretend that white people in majority white countries are the people suffering from prejudice. They've been doing it for a while and it does seem to be catching on with the mob.

I absolutely agree. For them to promote a "precept" that is exactly the same as the one they denounce is hypocritical in the extreme!

 

So why and how do you equate the race of ones birth with a behavioral choice? Is it just a way you think to justify the behavior of your choice?

 

I just read that police are investigating this as a hate crime demonstrating that a large number of people believe it is not OK to be white.

When and where did the bullying you speak of take place? Never saw it in my lifetime. Most people I have know in my life, white, black, asian, gay, whatever would not tolerate being bullied. At least as adults. I once knew a white kid who went to a black school in Washington DC. He was bullied and attacked on an almost daily basis.

And you have it wrong. The phenomenon being described is a subtle anti-white racism permeating liberal society. This often takes the form of white self hate. The concept of white privilege is a demonstration that this phenomenon is real. White privilege would claim that (for example) Obama's daughters are subject to racism and at a disadvantage as compared to white kids in say Kentucky. If it was OK to be white, whites would not require higher SAT scores to get into an Ivy League College.

 

How about people just not being bigots and letting others exist how they want to?

It’s also ok to be Christian, Muslim, Satanist, Pastafarian, Buddhist and so on.

It depends on what's meant by OK. Is it wrong to be white? Not at all. Does it mean you are more qualified than non-whites? No, it doesn't and that IS hateful. So again, the statement it's OK to be white is as "duh" as it gets. The problem isn't the text, the problem is the subtext. For many years, such statements have been used to actually say, being white is better than not being white. And that's the issue. Besides, white people in the US are still better off than non-whites so why do they need affirmations? They have them everyday in their paychecks and their treatment by police just to name two.
