The eve of destruction has been passed down from generation to generation from the beginning of time--and as an atheist, I am quite confident Jesus will walk the planet before Oklahoma becomes ocean property, and I'm swimming in 85 degree Chicago, in February, in 84 degree Lake Michigan. And even if I got that lucky, a warm winter is no justification to enslave men to Owls, field mice, and mosquitoes.

You want to save the planet, feel free, but don't start pointing your government's gun at free men's heads; the American Revolution demonstrates quite exquisitely that free men don't behave well towards tyrannies or tyrants; though they truly do give them what they deserve.

Preserving our planet is more important than your freedumb. Climate change is already underway and needs to be addressed urgently. The most important way to go about this is to spur advancement in all of the areas of technology that are most heavily impacting the climate. Doing so should not even impact greatly on your freedumb, since it's more a question of upgrading and updating means of energy production and utilization, and of course such areas as manufacturing and agriculture.

 

And what do you plan to do about it if I do? If more intelligent people come together and, through due process, force you to comply with law and policy that defers to the truth of climate theories, what's your big plan? Violence?

Getting everything exactly how you want it is for babies.

 

What will I do to those who seek to enslave me?Everything morally in my power to preserve my liberty. My rights are not for sale to majority opinion.

As to violence, I’m not the one running for the government’s gun to force my fellow citizens to behave according to my dictates.

As to not having everything I want, why not? Who made you the father of my fate? The dictator of my destiny? What’s the point of living if not to live the life you want? Is it to serve others? To benefit the people. To satisfy the public good. No, thank you; I’m not a slave. I exist to serve no one but me.

 

Remember: What you seek is the obediance of your fellow human beings at the point of a gun. It has another name. Tyranny. It will not work.

And personally, I support global warming. I just don’t think it’s happening fast enough. HTFU!

 

As climate change has nothing to do with the murder of a dissident in a Saudi embassy on Turkish soil, I will no longer comment on it.

 

Well, first off, if you call some of your taxes going to things with which you do not agree, "enslavement", then you have no place in a civil, democratic society. Better purchase an island and live there all by yourself, as this unbounded, unqualified,poor excuse for an argument is hot garbage.

Second, this is somewhat relevant to the topic at hand, as not everyone agrees that journalists should receive certain special protections to ply their trade. You will find one such man in the Oval Office.

Back to the topic of Khashogi's murder and the crown prince. The US and UK are sending Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz back to Riyadh to challenge Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. They have given Abdulaziz their security guarantees.

Frankly I think the murder of Khashoggi was all a set up, and that Washington and London knew it was a trap - probably planned by Turkish Intelligence. Turkey does things like this. The West's anger has nothing to do with Khashogi's death, or the civilian deaths in Yemen which we were supporting and part of, and more to do with Prince Salman's overtures to Moscow.

Anyway this is must my opinion. I'm probably right.
