spoken like a true extremist..incapable of seeing gray
Hey how’s the deficit going? You can kiss trumps ass but you’re getting screwed and saying thank you. And of course you have to use the childish words socialist just to show that you have no idea what the word means.

I like looking thru old threads when they come back. It's nice remembering posters I haven't seen in awhile. Oh, and Hanoi Jane is still alive.

Don't worry, I counted two posters who will run to the mods and get the thread locked.

I am always proud of my country. I am often not proud at all, not in the slightest, entirely disgusted and outraged in fact, by the crap our politicians and their supporters engage in.

Loved Jane Fonda in Barbarella. There should have been a whole bunch of sequels, only without those stupid big letters floating on the screen in the opening scene. Have always felt she missed her calling, could have had a massively successful career in soft porn and romantic comedies with equivalent R to NC17 ratings.

    But hell, she blew it.

    Hell of a shame.

what has she ever done for our Country or you?

President Trump has done a lot for a lot of people and taxpayers.
he will win. He may be less Presidential in the way he speaks, but I and his supporters don't care. We are financially better off.

and the Democrats refused to work with him on healthcare insurance and now lie that he will not protect pre-existing conditions. He has said over and over again that he would protect that and pass laws to lower prescription drug costs.

the House has done absolutely nothing to pass the laws they once tried to pass only because they hate him.

this Election, I plan to picket with signs like the Progressive Socialists do, and Antifa, only I will do it peacefully.

Seriously.. you think I'm an extremist...do you understand what an extremist actually is?

You are simply rambling. Let's be clear, Jane Fonda is an airhead and any cause she touches tuns to ****... Hillary has the same talent. These "socialists" (a trigger word for you so let's see you go spastic one more time)... are useless and should be avoided by anyone who wishes to garner even the slightest amount of credibility

You are proud of your country, even with its widespread support of torture and military aggression?

Your post reminds me of what Mark Twain said: "Patriotism means supporting your country all of the time, but its government only when it deserves it." That's where I'm at.

I loathe her passionately, but if you have nothing good to say, say nothing is the right thing to do sometimes.

What Trump does and What Jane Fonda is doing can be two different things. But come to think of it Trump is just as much a grandstanding showoff as Jane Fonda.

he has not done a lot for taxpayers. I guess you don’t understand what happens when the deficit explodes like it is now and how it is going to hurt you. But he said it’s great so you believe him. I’m glad you’re going to picket with signs but instead of doing it like the progressive socialist and antitfa you should just join those in Charlottesville with Swatzikas and chant “jews will not replace us”
Yes we hate him because he is destroying our country. And you love him because he counts on you to believe what he says and he says it in a style that his base loves… With vile curses

The Washington D.C. Law Enforcement and Justice Department should not tolerate Jane Fonda and here followers by making Fonda stand trial, be convicted, and put in jail for 90 days. Which should teach these protest followers a lesson in that you don't do such things in such places. If Fonda wants to continue her protesting about climate change. She can do from the confines of a county jail and can protest to the inmates who wouldn't even care about the environment, All the inmates want to do is wait to get out meaning to wish and dream their lives away.

I remember in 1979 when Jane Fonda, her then husband the late Tom Hayden and then California Governor Jerry Brown protested against Nuclear Energy which is fine now. But you have to wonder why that trio didn't get arrested back then but that was probably planned and out of others way.

    Ask them!

    Maybe an English thing.
Maybe they consider :flagcanada: truly, :flagus:

    All those empty threats.
"If Trump Is Elected, I'm Moving To :flagcanada: "
I don't know one that kept their promise, do you?

Wish Bridgette Fonda didn't abdicate Hollywood.
She was so  in "Jackie Brown".

Trump has never been handcuffed and arrested for protesting about climate change as Fonda was recently.

She has principles and courage. He does not.

I am both proud and ashamed. I am completely ashamed that we started a war in Iraq that killed 1/2 million people. I am ashamed that we told Qaddafi to give up his nukes then overthrew him and threw that country into chaos. I am ashamed that we are assisting SA in thier genocidal war with Yemen. I am ashamed that we don't actively encourage more people to vote, I am ashamed that our society allows 3 Americans to own as much wealth as the bottom 150 mill Americans. I am ashamed that my country is led by a bully and a boor. I am ashamed that We sttod by and let millions be killed in the Rwanda genocide and did nothing because they were black and poor.

I am proud to live in a country where the individual can criticize the rich and powerful. To live in a country where conformity is looked down upon, and individual thought is sacrosanct.

I would be so much more proud if we regulated news groups so that they were separate profit making entities and could not be owned by parent companies. I think corporate multinational ownership of the press is the greatest danger out country faces. They can form affiliations just not cross ownership.

C'mon just because they want to be able to drill and sell thier own oil? How do you expect those poor people that own chevron and shell and BP to make a living? You know the 20% of country that is white and own the property don't like him either, Who cares that 75% of the people want him, the white ones don't.

I for one would want to know why Jerry Brown and Tom Hayden wear shirts and ties and Jane Fonda is wearing almost nothing here. It might have been a hot day for all we know There could be weird ideas form other people about the above picture and I'll welcome any comments.

    1. She's exercised your & my right to express her opinion, even if it differs from the majority one. By exercising that right, she protects it, for you & me.\
    2. The only people Trump has helped are himself, his family & his wealthy class. He has done nothing to help anyone else.
    3. If you are financially better off, then you must be part of the wealthy class.
    4. Democrats tried very hard to get him to work with them, guaranteeing pre-existing conditions--but he refused. He has insisted on killing Obamacare, which would leave 40 million plus, Americans without access to health care. Yes, he's made public statements repeatedly, that he would protect pre-existing, but the bill he supported in the Senate killing Obamacare, also killed pre-existing protections. He lied, just as he often does. It's a common behavior with him.
    5. The House has passed over 250 bills targeted at helping the middle class again. McConnell has them on his desk, but refuses to allow them to be discussed in the Senate, because he doesn't want another Presidential veto on his record.
    6. You have the right to express your opinions as much as anyone else. I disagree with your opinions, & I base my disagreement on factual truths.

Jane Fonda will do it again tomorrow. Last week She had Ted Danson last week and Sam Waterson the week before, Who goes on tomorrow? Aren't the Capitol Police tired of her appearing each Friday. Why don't they arrest her incarcerate her and stand trial and put her away for 90 days. Would that be too much to ask? I'll bet there are those that would like something like that and if my Dad were alive He's want something like that.

How does your post fit with the American ideal of being free to express your point of view freely? Is anyone harmed by her views? Compared to Trump, in 2016, at several of his rallies, calling on his fans to "throw out the individuals daring to speak up against him, & promising to pay any attorney fees if the protester was injured in the process--something he'd never do in reality, of course.

I despise Jane Fonda for her antics in North Vietnam, for her failure to offer an apology and make amends and for wearing too much clothing in her youth.

However, she is an American Citizen and a Human Being and has the same right of protest, of free speech and yes even arrest for the cameras if that is her desire.
