I was simply replying to his statement out his marriage and sexuality. But, you come along and find yourself lost in the discussion. The conversation has nothing to do with sexual urges. It has to do with what is sacred or not which must include God to be sacred. Seems like it's you that always steers these conversations towards sexual urges. You must have a problem? I see what you mean. But I don't spend my energies mocking and ridiculing Buddha, his teachings or his followers. Neither did Buddha give me a revelation that he is real and lives and is my Heavenly Father whom we have all forgotten somehow.

 

You don’t live in a society that pushes Buddhism down your throat, with people demanding dictates or Buddhism be taught instead of science, and law be based on it because “this is a Buddhist country”. Nor did Buddhism spread across the globe by the sword/gun. Nor did you break free from a repressive Buddhist family.

Nor did your Heavenly Father give any such revelation to non-Christians whom we have all forgotten somehow.

Now you've added a third ingredient for something to be sacred knowledge. First the knowledge must be obtained via tasks performed and conditions met. Then it must involve something deeply personal and profound. Now it must also involve God or a deity of some sort.

I meant to lay out the commentsI was challenging as being traditional belief in Christ as the saviour of all people in a general rhetorical way but I wrote it as if I was claiming it was your beliefs. I should have been much clearer in responding to you and sayingI was speaking in general terms not about your actial beliefs. However I must also confess (excuse the pun) my direction of thought was really towards Cougar not you when I was talking to you. I was really talking about his approach to Christianity. I really get my dander up when I hear people tell other people how they MUST believe whether that be about Jesus or anything else. To me that is spiritual rape. That is the act of a spiritual rapist someone who tries to attack and impose his supposed spiritual soul on another.

To me it is what you Christians would call Satanic.Its negative. Its abusive. It has no sense of decency, boundaries and fails miserably to understand the most basic principle of the religion it claims to preach and that is of course treating people as we would want to be treated.

What is IT in religious discussions that makes all of us humans become so easiy to spiritually rape and use religion to abuse people?

Why can we not just accept as many variations as possible of what it means to respect life, nature and how everything we decide can harm or help someone else and every other life form on the planet?
