We don't use history to draw modern borders in that way.

The country Palestine as recognized by the UN refers to West Bank + Gaza. The people of Palestine are long time permanent residents. Today, Israel is stealing their property and bulldozing their homes in order to capture more land - ethnic cleansing.

 

We do not draw modern borders by reference to ancient religious texts of any religion.

Plus, when we DO draw borders, those living there get to stay there. They become full fledged citizens of the new country in which they then reside.

 

The only ethnic cleansing they do, is when they turn the firehoses on them.

 

The entire middle east is a bit of a mistake made during the two world wars when assistance during the war(s) required promises of land. Even the name "middle east" is a stretch since it certainly isnt in the middle of the east.

The problem is that we have what we have, and maybe it's time to let the area sort themselves out without a lot of intervention. Lord knows we haven't helped much by trying to help.

Also, Israel has been in constant war with Gaza for nearly two decades now, with no willingness to discuss an end to their war.

I think there will come a time when Earth understands the humanitarian atrocity Israel is committing to be just that.

As it is today, we're pretty much the only nation on earth willing to support that crime, while 130 other nations have recognized Palestine as a nation. When we brag about rule of law and humanitarianism other countries can not take us seriously. We just don't stand for that.

Doh there have always been Jews in Palestine. Refugees from Germany are just a small % of the worldwide Jewish population. Like it or not the world wide community decided to give a small part of Palestine to the Jewish people.

If Israel chose to they could wipe out a whole lot of Muslims in the next hour.

The had several chances to get rid of them in Israel, they should have a while ago, but they are too humane.

 

Yeah they bulldoze homes right after the inhabitants of the home in question send one of their own to blow up themselves and as many Jews as possible. The message should be obvious even to a Palestinian. You don't want your house bulldozed don't let your babies grow up to be mad bombers.
