If a republican said this... he'd be drawn and quartered by now. Wonder where the liberal outrage is?? http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/apr/21/jimmy-carters-grandson-people-have-right-sport-con/
The confederacy represents an awful point in America's past. Why anyone would want to wear confederate apparel, let alone possess a confederate license plate, is beyond me. However, like all forms of freedom of speech, it is rightly protected. I don't see why this is extended to the Georgian government providing confederate license plates, however. In fact, the entire idea of customized license plates is a bit absurd, and a waste of money. If you want to decorate your car, buy a bumper sticker. There's nothing stopping you. But if any major candidate, democrat or republican, campaigned on removing the confederate license plate when running for a statewide race in Georgia, they would be unelectable.
