Jimmy Carter denounces Brett Kavanaugh as unfit for the office of a SCOTUS judge.

Carter rightly identified the conduct of Kavanaugh in the Senate hearings as unacceptable behavior for a candidate for a position of judge in the highest court in America.

The appointment of Kavanaugh has perverted the court and turned into an extremist's bench.

Donald Trump has perverted the system of justice in the USA by making the selection of judges a zero sum game instead of a confirmation of talented jurists.

Kavanaugh should resign. He doesn't have the confidence of the US public.

A not-so-surprising comment from a former president who was himself unfit for office.

Coming from a guy that was unfit to serve as President, I guess he should know.

Carter is notorious for being wrong but also for admitting it well after the fact. For instance he once thought that Barack Obama would be a great president, and then years later acknowledged that he had been wrong about that. So . . . it . . . goes.

Carter's also the guy that favors the arabs. Why don't you print his reaction to Saudi Arabia murdering the reporter instead of this?

Jimmy's a good man. Regardless of what Jimmy thinks of Kavanaugh, he should have also blasted ex-senate majority leader Harry Reid. Without Reid's action and first use, precedence setting, nuclear option, there would be no Judge Kavanaugh. Actions, decisions, etc have consequences, Reid's decision and action in setting the precedence, changing the rules in mid stream is the number one, the main, the biggest reason and perhaps the only reason Kavanaugh is now sitting on the SCOTUS.

This temperament thing is one of the most ridiculous excuses I've seen from the left.

First, who cares about the Jimmy Carter. Hello?

Second, Judges are notorious for ruling their courtrooms with an iron fist. Ask any litigating attorney. Any of them.

Over the course of many years on the bench, how many complaints were filed regarding judicial conduct against Kavanaugh?

Of course, in a despicable last second move, I seem to recall some complaints were filed. But lets get real, make filing a false complaint punishable by law, and those complaints wouldn't have been attempted.

Only republican appointees aren’t fit right? Historically since 1900 4 appointees have been rejected all pointed by republican presidents and in Nixon and Reagan’s case the judges they finally got thru nomination ended up being very liberal

America needed a bath after Nixon. That is why Carter was elected...he was the antithesis of Nixon.

There is no reason to crap all over a good man if you don't like his opinion.

Totally. Kavanaugh given his 30 years on the bench, incredibly stellar glowing reputation and A+++ ratings by all professional associations absolutely does not deserve this, especially coming from an incompetent and universally despised one-termer like Carter.

We are not in a comparison game of Kavanaugh vs Carter. Kavanuagh is free to rate Carter as a president.

We can't freak out every time someone has an opinion.

Correct again. You absolutely should not freak out when we give you our opinion, that Kavanaugh is an upstanding highly qualified, universally praised and admired jurist while Carter is a bumbling incompetent idiot with the record of horrible judgement, costly mistakes, disasters and failures.

Since 1960 there has been 8 republican nominees either out right rejected or with 20+ no votes in the same time frame there has in 3 democrat nominees that either lapsed or had 20+ no votes. Democrats didn’t like garlands treatment but history say Democrat’s treat republican nominees worse

The dude is 94 years old. I'm skeptical he even has a clue who Kavanaugh actually is.

Carter is not the only one stating Kavanaugh is unfit to hold the office--so did several hundred lawyers or law professors.

They just don't realize that in this country today perjury by high officials is the new standard.

The endorsement of "unfit" by that long list of professors says more about the state of the legal education system, than it does about Justice Kavanaugh.

Claiming Justice Kavanaugh committed perjury by applying subjective criteria to the accusation underscores the dismal state of affairs on the left, and the threat to objective impartial reasoning in the legal profession.
