Joe Biden tells crowd ‘I’m a candidate for the United States Senate’ in confused campaign speech

WHAT??? Has he really lost it this bad? He goes down to South Carolina where he desperately needs to win to get the nomination for PRESIDENT and announce he's running for the US Senate.

“My name is Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over, if you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden.”

My first thought was that we were getting pranked by The Onion, but no . . . it really happened. Psst . . . leftists . . . NOW do you believe us Right of Center people who warned you that Biden was too senile to run for the presidency back when vast numbers of you were labeling him the equivalent of your Great White Old Rich Man . . . Hope against Trump?

 

It's sort of sad to see the Hope for Change that they can Believe In for the Dem Party's moderates and Centrists -- all fifty or so of them still remaining inside the Dem Party -- crash and burn in front of the nation as the final remnants of his brain finally go on permanent vacation. But then again, considering just how far the Dem Party has spiraled down the toilet over the decades, it's somehow an appropriate metaphor. He IS the Dem Party.

 

Alzheimer’s disease, or something very much akin to it. There but for the Grace of God goes every one of us. I wish Mister Biden the very best that Life can offer him, and doubtless nearly everyone on this forum does the same.

It is both sad and grim, and his people should should pull the plug on his campaign as an act of kindness. They could do that simply by scattering to the winds and going to work for Bernie or Warren or Buttigieg instead.

Maybe he thinks he's got a twin who's running for the presidency. Or maybe he named a lying dog-faced pony soldier . . . Biden.

 

Dementia is a heart breaking thing to watch. I am familiar with it first hand. His family should have enough respect for the man he was to not push him out in front of crowds. He is probably not aware of it but his family certainly would be.

Either way it's a very sad thing.

 

Well I bet you're not going to see that clip on the MSM. A Google search shows FoxNews, the Washington Examiner and the NY Post reporting it. Drilling down an"ABC Action News" website with a clip but nothing on ABC News website. So uninformed voters will vote for him in SC rather than informed voters saying "you know this has gotten to the point of being worrisome" and he lose and the family able to ease him out of the race. He really doesn't need to be here.

Small potatoes compared to some of his other gaffs. At a rally at the College of Charleston today, he claimed that he met with Chinese Premiere Deng Xiaoping to discuss the Paris Accord that was completed in 2015 and passed in 2016. The problem is that Deng Xiaoping died in 1997. So, Biden is conducting foreign by Séance.

Later he asked. "Who in God's name needs a hundred rounds in a bullet, in a clip, with a gun you have?" For those that are not firearm proficient, a round is a bullet.

Then there was, ""Where I come from, you don't get far unless you ask. My name's Joe Biden. I'm a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over. If you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden," I Biden is beside himself

Then tonight, he claimed that 150 million people had been killed by firearms since 2007. That number is only off by more then 149 million.

Yes that is the one I noted and the most worrisome.

Anyway, at least Joe SOUNDED lucid and he went on to win BIG in South Carolina. Guess they understand the many minor gaffes any candidate has on the grueling campaign trails. Trump has a ton of them (search "Trump Bloopers"). And some of Trump's are intentional. Y'know like: mocking disabled people, criticizing POW's for being captured, offering to pay patrons' legal fees if they will physically rough up protestors... stuff like that.

 

It's gotten worse since SC and now he is politicizing the Coronavirsus and talking out both sides of his mouth trying to attack Trump on it.

 

Trump deserves to be "attacked" for his response.

Trump's initial response was woefully inadequate.

 

He was attacked for acting too soon.

 

WRONG.

If Trump really has a grasp on the threat (from the beginning) he would've cancelled all of his rallies.

He held several rallies (potentially exposing people) during the time that he was downplaying the initial threat.

 

Awwww... Poor little, "the donald." Is someone attacking him? Hahahaha!

Give it a break! Trump's the Kingfish of issuing attacks, so what's to complain about?

Besides, Biden's hardly attacking him, other than spelling out the God's honest truth as most people see it.

The only "confused" one is Trump. Hasn't he had to backtrack several points from last night's pitiful attempt at calming the public? The people deserve so much better and they know it. Not much Trump can do about that!
