Joe Biden turns EIGHTY YEARS OLD today, November 20, 2022!

Happy birthday, Mr. President! Please be so kind as to stay in office until January 2025 so that we in the 'Middle' and the 'Right' can be spared the additional misery of having to be saddled with Kamala-la-la Harris if 'circumstances' were to tempt you to make an early departure from the presidency....

[IMG] . This ought to keep the White House warm for a while....

Both of those old farts should go sit in a 'sweat lodge' and smoke dope instead of continue to think that they've got anything BENEFICIAL to offer the American public at this point in the 21st-century! In many of the civilized parts of Europe, you can't even be a federal-level judge after you hit the age of 70!

Oh, by the way, although not at the same level as either Biden or Trump, I'M an 'old fart', too -- so I know what I'm talking about. To be the Chief Executive Officer of the United States of America requires energy, focus, equanimity, and a fully-functioning MIND,

I'm only 60 and I can't imagine having a job that required that amount of focus and energy. The country needs vitality and, sadly, Joe is past that.

Is that why the current GOP Frontrunner will be ONLY Age 79 in 2025?

One of the two best presidents of my long lifetime, John F. Kennedy, was only 43 years old when he became President of the United States. If Democrats could put forth another candidate for the highest office in the country who was even one-tenth as good as Kennedy, I'd seriously consider voting for him (or her), even though I'm a rock-solid, 'Libertarian'-Conservative!

Why do you consider Kennedy a good POTUS? He got us into Viet Nam, almost ended the world, and wasn't good at getting anything through Congress. Even his most famous line, "Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country” is more of an anti-thesis for today's Democrat Party.

One guy can talk for 90 minutes and not fumble. The other guy can't go 30 seconds without making a gaff that makes national news. One guy is known for being a savvy billionaire businessman, the other is known as Ol' Uncle Joe because of how he said stupid things all his life, plus even Obama said he would F things up.

Biden's age is betraying him, he doesn't work the kind of hours his job demands. Instead he only works 3 or 4 days a week before he shuffles off to his home where there are no visitor logs. I would imagine all that traveling by helicopter and AF1 along with his security detail would have a very large carbon footprint. But it's OK when democrats do it, just ask Kerry.

BTW, my money is on DeSantis in 2024.

He would definitely be the toughest GOP Candidate to beat...
Hopefully, the GOP doesn't figure that out...

I agree. The front runner you referred to would energize democrats, the media and just about everyone else. DeSantis can point to Florida and say 'see.'

A clip like that could be made about anyone. The difference is a clip about Biden would last for hours and you know it.

I mean, given the exaggerated responses to him you'd be hard pressed to think otherwise LOL. But the future lies neither with Trump or Biden. I want to see the campaigns in full earnest swing before making my selection. But I already know Trump will not get my vote regardless of he's the nominee or not.

ALL The Polls that I have seen have Trump (Born 1946) as the Frontrunner...
According to the most recent polling data:
    RCP Average 10/9 - 11/17
    Trump 47.3
    DeSantis 29.0

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/e..._republican_presidential_nomination-7548.html
But, that "DeSantis is the Frontrunner" mantra is the sort of wishful thinking that the GOP needs to adopt if they don't want to LOSE in 2024...

I think he was idolized because he was assassinated. He's known for our space journey which did manage to introduce great technology. But he also contributed greatly to a war that diminished our reputation. I just think he's overrated and perhaps if he not only served three years his historical significance might have been different. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Actually, we were slowly but surely getting mired in Vietnam after the French defeat in 1954 at Điện Biên Phủ! You could blame Eisenhower for much of that, although he didn't dive in head-first like Lyndon Johnson did. Neither did Kennedy. Kennedy did supply some 'advisors', aid, and other help, but he showed every sign that he would move away from South Vietnam by 1964 because of the corruption and brutality of the Saigon government. Unfortunately, he was assassinated in November 1963, and it was LYING LYNDON JOHNSON who gave us the amplified horror of the Vietnam War, delivered on a silver platter called "The Gulf of Tonkin Incident"....

But you say Kennedy "almost ended the world"...? I can only suppose you're talking about the fact that he kept the Soviet Union from installing a ICBM base in Cuba to pose a direct threat to the United States, and, when Kennedy stood up for Berlin and all of West Germany by taking a stand against the Soviet Union in Europe. But you criticize Kennedy for doing those things...?

As far as the famous line, "Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country" goes, yes, I agree with you -- today's Democrat Party would choke and gag on that. After Kennedy's death, Democrats reverted more than ever to Frankie Roosevelt's big welfare-state enlargement, as we've seen with LBJ's useless wet-dream called the "War on Poverty", and later with Obama's creation of socialized medicine-lite, known as "Obamacare". So, maybe it's not surprising that a Conservative ex-Republican like me might be very tempted to vote for another "John F. Kennedy"... if one were to be found....
