John Walker Lindh, American ex-Taliban fighter, to be released in May, hasn't denounced Islamism

The whole story of Lindh is an embarrassment to a country proclaiming an interest in justice. Most people are too consumed with hatred to be interested in the whole story.

 

Only 5 Taliban for one deserter.

 

There is no restriction against a felon running for President.

 

i have no problem with it, just that i think it is redundant, and unless local law has access then it is a duplicate that needs a direct data link otherwise, as has in the past, mistakes will be made.

 

The left will probably make him a congressman.

He should never have been captured in the first place. This traitor should have been killed, not captured. Interrogate his Taliban buddies, but execute the traitor in the field.

I do believe it is the law in every state for any position of elected office.But as I am corrected not for a federal position, so that's why there is so many crooks in office....

Because calling someone a Nazi, racist, bigot, etc, etc, and who's supporters and people who work for him are assaulted and harassed on a regular basis doesn't mean they are being persecuted, oh no.

You realize he joined the Taliban well prior to the US going to war with the Taliban, yes? And he was already captured by the time US personnel encountered him.

My solution is to strip him of his citizenship.

And longer prison sentences.

 

Meh. He joined up with the Taliban pre 9/11 and couldn't get out when everything went down. Never fought against US soldiers.

 

If you were aware of the entire story regarding Lindh, and you had an open mind and were honest with yourself, you would know that he was not radical at all, and therefore could not be "deradicalized" at all.

 

Just "do it" and let him deal with it in the courts!

BTW I did mention permanent expulsion, let him keep his citizenship

Well, we can't lock up every Islamic radical.

If we did that maybe 1 out of 10 persons in the Islamic World would have to be taken into custody.
