I just hope the new head coach Rich Bisaccia can keep the Raiders on the a winning track even though I don't think they'll be in the Super Bowl any time soon.
That's the start and end of it. Those toxic traits will make the franchise toxic. Consumers would be calling for his head before the top brass do - and it is the consumer that makes financial end of professional sports go round.
To be fair, what he did with the Oakland Raiders and then the Tampa Bay Bucs was amazing! As a reminder for the younguns in the audience, he won the super bowl with the Raiders, left for the Buccaneers, and won the next super bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Raiders. Talk about the old adage coach saying "I'll take mine and beat your'n, and then take your'n and beat mine" (or something to that effect lol) He's kind of an idiot, and I'm pretty confident he's a little arrogant ; ), but he is a great football coach.
Gruden didn't win a Super bowl with the Raiders ... they lost to the Packers ... the next year he was handed a talent loaded football team in Tampa and got them to a SB win with a mediocre QB (Brad Johnson) ... he's a good coach not a great coach ...
