I would agree with you if they were after documents relating to his time as president. I hate the idea of government digging into the private lives of private citizens. We allow the IRS to audit income earners to validate tax payments. Since Trump has been audited regularly for decades, it is safe to say that the motivation is political not validation of tax payments. I think it is a bad decision. Will it be reversed? Who knows?

The IRS form is a terrible form if one is looking for crimes. Trump has an enormous operation. His filing with the FCC was around 100 pages To date no Democrat has pointed out any fraud nor crimes in the FCC report. IF they had found crimes, it is time for them to come out. Show us.
