Robert, as I have said, you are unable to defend Trump. When dealing with Trump, I concentrate on what he says and does. It is hard to argue with that.

Back when I was growing up, some wise acres would tape to your keyster a sign saying Kick me.

Frankly I don't want to but the derangement has taken you over the edge.

This is how I size up Trump. Trump asked the 3 agencies who were parties to the paper delivered early in January 2017, to show him the proof. He does not want to embarrass them yet to date has yet to see the proof. I went back to the paper of January for proof,. Sorry, never saw it. I recall those agencies promised GW Bush in 2002 proof that Saddam had WMD.

Yes, Robert, but you never challenge what I say. So, what I say must be accurate. I can't help it if Trump is so bad that he messes up nearly every day. Here I will give you another chance.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson appeared on television and made clear that Trump had repeatedly raised Russian meddling in the meeting. Then Tillerson said Trump decided to focus on "how do we move forward from something that may be an intractable disagreement at this point."

That statement was quickly followed by Foreign Minister Lavrov appearing on television to say that Putin had denied involvement, Trump said reports of meddling were exaggerated, and he accepted Putin's denials.

Tillerson's assessment of the conversation and Lavrov's are identical in their effect. In effect Trump accepted Putin's statements and said we should move forward. This is substantiated by Trump's own statement the previous day when he indicated that "reports of meddling were exaggerated."

On Thursday, Trump said,"I think it was Russia but I think it was probably other people and or countries. I see nothing wrong with that statement. Nobody really knows. Nobody really knows for sure." Clearly, that indicates that Trump thinks the reports are exaggerated.

Conclusion: Trump accepted Putin's denials because the two were on the same page.

Trump was in over his head at the G20.

Trump has rewritten U.S. foreign policy by, in many cases, spurning allies while playing nice with authoritarian regimes and strongmen such as Putin. And views of Trump in Western Europe and North America reflect that.

Perhaps the most remarkable finding on that front is that about 9 out of 10 people in many of these countries describe Trump as “arrogant,” and about 7 in 10 in many of them label him “dangerous.”

In each of Canada, Mexico, Spain, France, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Britain and Australia, at least 89 percent describe Trump as arrogant, while at least 69 percent describe him as dangerous. Many of these countries, again, are chief allies and leaders of the developed world.
